Since DP isn't as sharp as Trez and Zlatan atm, I'd start him from the bench, and then play DP-Zlatan on Sunday in Serie A. A bit of rotation will do everyone well so that they get used to playing with each other and realise that no place in this team is guaranteed.

I don't really like tacchinardi, he is so boring and unefficient, can Kapo play instead of Emerson?
i dont see any reason why capello should bother weather u are entertained or not with his players ...the most important part is every players know what their main duty is and do it....and TAcchinardi falls into that cathegory...

Sharp and sharp, just because he was the only one who didnt score doesnt mean he wasnt good. I think it was very smart of Cap to swap Trez and Zlatan at half time, he can also do that with DP too.

Yeah as long as we have 3 forwards in good shape (seems to be the case at the mo), we should alternate a bit. Start DP, let him play 60 minutes. Then start Zlatan a few times, let him play most of the game etc.

It's not a bad idea to keep a strong alternative on the bench for coming on late in the game. When everyone's tired, that's a good time to put on a quick and energetic player. Thinking mostly of Olivera here although Camo probably doesn't deserve to start. But if he was starting regularly, I'd like to see Olivera come on later in almost every game.

What do you people see in Blasi exactly?

Tacchinardi > Appiah >>>>>>>>>>> Blasi
IMO Appiah and Blasi are going to develop into better players than Tacchi, whom I've never thought much of anyway...

if Tacchi understand his role in the team, he would be a good rotation player IMO....
like Sunday, he came in for emo and play about 30 mins, he wasn't impressive but didn't make any mistake either. For tacchi himself , that was a very good performence.:D:D

It's a bit worrying, though, when the definition of a good performance for a player is when he doesn't screw up :scared:

for defensive players that would pretty much be it...
I dunno... for me, when I hear that a defensive midfielder had a good performance, I expect to hear that they made a good link between the defence and midfield, made some good tackles and stayed solid throughout...

when it comes to Tacchi though, all I've come to hope for is that he doesn't make a clumsy challenge from behind, just outside the penalty area...

while for me a devensive midfielder would make a good job when he gives muscle into the midfield, recover possession, protect the centre backs, make fouls if he have to as long as the opponent understand that they wont be give time to breath, ....

making solo runs or trial-and-error passes are not included..;).. DMs would already make a good job linking defense and attack if they pass the ball square to nedved or the wingers to bring the ball up... David Batty and Roy Keane used to be EPL Most Accurate Passer by doing that... ( Appiah of last season :scared: )

This may be a bit off the string of conversation, but do you think we'll finally see the blue kits for this game? (uefa.com shows that the blue is our away kit, which makes me think that it may only be used for the CL)

Like Gray said, Appiah and Blasi have more potential than Tacchinardi, so I'd give them playing priority. Supposedly Blasi is a better tackler than Alessio, and Appiah is better offensively.

I disagree , as Trezeguet and Zlatan wont work really good , we need aplayer like Dp whom can give them a ball to be finished ,,, Playing trezeguet and Zlatan may cause some selfish things for both of them , and i don't think we need that at this moment !

Zlatan can aslo play as a support striker, which leads me to believe that he could do a great job deputising for Del Piero. Zlatan has the skill to be a setup man as well.

Appiah doesn't play the same pos Tachi does , while to blasi i don't know he can controll that position !
