Spaniard to officiate Ajax-Juve
Football Italia

Carlos del Cerro Grande has been confirmed as the referee for Juventus’ Champions League quarter-final first leg at Ajax on Wednesday.
Although he has been a referee in La Liga since the 2011-12 campaign, this is the first season Del Cerro Grande has officiated in the Champions League.
Among his three European games in 2018-19 are Ajax’s 3-0 win against AEK Athens in the group stage.
The VAR will be another experienced Spaniard in Alejandro Jose Hernandez Hernandez.
Meanwhile, Italy’s very own Gianluca Rocchi will oversee the first leg between Manchester United and Barcelona at Old Trafford.

Once again, before everyone gets ahead of themselves, let’s summarise what we had learned since Athletico:

Pros:
- CR7 truly is a GOAT
- Spina offers great alternative to Sandro
- Berna combines well with CR7
- Kean is ready for top level modern football
- Emre Can can be a CB

Cons:
- without CR7, we look really clueless upfront
- without Pjanic, our midfield can’t hold ball or create
- Our defence has been allowing dangerous shots for past 3 games
- Actual fact is that we created ZERO clear chance from open play in Athletico 2nd leg and had to thank GOAT for converting half-chances into goal

It is champions league, hope Max realises that. It is Attack or go home. Bang or get banged.

ohhhwww boy. Spanish referees ? fuck noooo...
That`s way better than some random british homosexual or the football Erdogan like @juve123 mentioned. :D

Calma, they (the people from Spain who officiate football games) are in most cases equally good (or decent, or bad). Also, chances are 50-50 Carlos Grande is a Real fan and will want some revenge agains Ajax. Also, 50-50 chance he`s a Barca fan and will want to reward those brave Ajax kids who eliminated their arch rival. Also 50-50 chance that he doesnt really care about football and he only does it for the money... :D

Did you watch the second leg we dominated Atletico Madrid and should have won 4-0 or even 5-0

What's the problem with referees being homosexual?
Nothing at all, it`s a 10+ year old quote from a local idiot, explaining why his team lost in the UEFA Cup with the referee being English. I guess I remembered it last year when talking about the game in Madrid and mr. Oliver and... it kinda stuck...

Spanish ref and Var - Why do I have a feeling its not a good thing for us?! I saw how they use Var and they make lots of mistakes compared to Italy..
If you want to look for some pre game conspiracy you can say he`ll favor Ajax since he wants the Spaniard team to win the CL (probably bs but still)
