Siena 3-1 Cittadella
Siena swept away 10-man Cittadella in an ill-tempered encounter with three red cards. Gasparetto was first to go, as he hauled back Mastronunzio for a last man foul and penalty, even though replays suggest it was outside the box. Calaio converted successfully, followed by Terzi combining with Troianiello to nod in a second. Troianiello also set up the third for Calaio with the aid of a goalkeeping error. Cittadella tried to get back into it with Di Roberto’s penalty for a Del Grosso tackle on Carteri. There was another penalty, but this time Immobile saw his spot-kick parried by Pierobon. It was a bad day for Juventus youth product Immobile, who also saw red for using his elbow. The finale was chaotic with Dalla Bona receiving a second yellow card, leaving Cittadella with nine men.
