Mourinho: 'Ferrara gets no respect'
Thursday 28 January, 2010
Jose Mourinho launched an impassioned defence of the Juventus Coach. “Nobody is giving Ciro Ferrara respect.”

Inter's 2-1 Coppa Italia quarter-final victory was probably Ferrara's last game in charge, as there are reports a caretaker manager will be brought in.

“We are men, we have families and it's not nice all this talk of every other Coach,” slammed Mourinho on RAI.

“Ferrara deserves respect. If the club decides to make a change, we know that is part of our job, but at least while we are still on the bench and working we deserve respect.

“Right now nobody is giving Ferrara respect. Nobody. But I respect him.”

Ferrara was meant to give an interview to the same television station after the final whistle, but he walked straight down the players' tunnel.

Diego had given Juventus the lead thanks to a Francesco Toldo howler, but Felipe Melo avoided a pretty clear penalty for his handling offence in first half stoppages.

“We played well, made a few changes, but the team was in the game throughout. Unfortunately they scored that goal, these things happen, but the team kept its shape.

“It's better to forget what happened just before the break. Let us just pass over and not even think about that.

“I introduced Diego Milito, the team improved and we knew that psychologically we were a lot stronger than Juve.

“It was obvious once we got to 1-1 that it would all be a lot easier from there.”

Lucio equalised at the 70th minute and Mario Balotelli completed the comeback in the final moments, when extra time seemed to be looming.

Sack this motherfucker ASAP! Send him on a rocket-ride deep into space.
Dont be an asshole ffs.

Yes sack him, dont insult him, i feel sorry for the guy, he's just doing the best he can. Yes his best isn't good enough, but the board have dragged this on for 2 months too long, they are the only motherfuckers in this scenario. Ferrara is a true great as a player, and as a man he is impeccable.

I would feel sorry for him, if he resigned by himself, like 1 month ago or so. After the Milan game. But his manly pride will only make things worse for us, and I don't like that.

Sack him, and sack him hard.

Oh, and also grab Blanc, Secco and Lapo Elkann by the hair and throw them from a cliff outta turin.

The way the board handles Ferrara really makes me sick. First, they should have fired him long time ago. Many of us have already realised Ferrara is one of the problems since last September/October, why the board haven't?

Second, now that they wanted to get rid of Ferrara, they should do it immediately instead of delaying and still letting him managing the team in such an important match after telling him that he is no longer needed.

Look at him during the match, it was obvious to me that Ferrara knew what is going on. He did not even care to stand up and to shout at the players as he used to, let alone to make any tactical changes. The consequence was that we lost after having one goal lead as you all know.

Had the board decided to sack Ferrara before the match and appoint his assistant as a caretaker coach, who know maybe we would have a chance to beat Inter.

put yourself in his shoes. You love the club, you've got the opportunity of a life time to lead the club. Your struggling. Wouldn't you want to do everything in your powers to try to get the club back on the right track?? Or would you turn your back on the club?? I know i'd fight and i'd fight to the death for juventus, so imagine how Ciro feels.

Secco and blank, those motherfuckers sohuld be thrown off a cliff

The man did he's best, show some respect for god's sake !!

Enough with the insults allready, even that fucker mourinho is showing respect for Ciro. Its not easy to be in he's shoes right now. Its not he's fault that he's still here its the "MANAGEMENT" fault. They're the one that screwed up big time.

Again please people show some respect for the guy and remember you're Juve supporters not some sorry ass Inter fans.

Honestly. I am glad this guy came. Shows what idiots are actually leading the club and the so called 'Project'

You guys have said SACK SACK SACK, and rightfully so, for the past few months. Yet have the board done anything about him? No.

You guys are saying SACK SACK SACK and probably :)xfinger:) now he will be sacked, but way too late. Like the 91st minute substitution Ferrara made.

The board will sack him and I would agree with them the same way I agreed with Ranieri's sacking, both with relief and worry. Like Ranieri's sacking, a mistake could be easily made by hiring the wrong coach, again.

So even if Farrara gets fired, still expect the worst for the next year.

God I hate this board.
