Tuttosport today rounds up in detail the plan for Roberto Mancini to replace Ciro Ferrara on the Juventus bench.

The Turin-based newspaper suggests that Ferrara is hanging by a thread following the shock Champions League exit to Bayern Munich midweek.

First choice to take over next season should the campaign take a new turn for the worse was Luciano Spalletti, but the former Roma boss has officially signed for Russian club Zenit St Petersburg.

Instead the remarkable claim is that ex-Inter Coach Mancini has a deal to take control of the Bianconeri.

He is now a free agent after terminating his contract with the Nerazzurri, who fired him despite winning three consecutive Scudetti.

Tuttosport suggests Mancio would bring with him an entirely new staff, including fitness coach Ivan Carminati and goalkeeping trainer Giulio Nuciari.

He would also want ex-Lazio director Oreste Cinquini and talent scout Aldo Pecini to become part of his close-knit team.

However, there would be uproar among fans and possibly some of the players, as Mancini was an arch rival of Juve’s and one of their fiercest critics during the Calciopoli scandal.
