The players presently missing from the first team or its fringes, who I am desperately eager to return to full fitness, do not include Del Piero...
Momo is the key. Marchisio...serious backup for Momo and Melo, and also perhaps he can play in one of the wide positions where Camo and Gio currently stand. I am sure that he would do a better job there than De Ceglie...and likely also offer more than DP in that role. because it calls for energy, movement, and the ability to help out on the flanks tracking back, when the full backs have pushed up...
Also, I am eager for Zebina to return to the fold, as in the brief showings early on this season, and in pre season, he looked decent.

Still...Momo and MArchiso are truly all that is missing, from my point of view.

DP will find it hard to get into the team. He is not strong enough or quick enough to occupy any of the attacking midfielder positions...and unless we play two in attack, how would we include him???

Melo

Camo - Marchisio/Sissoko

Diego

Trezeguet/Amauri - Del Piero (c)

Dear God, I'm going to suicide bomb the forums the next time somebody uses a World Cup medal to defend a player.
ok, it was just another + for him..last year whenever he entered in the game he scored, just like trez this year. Based on the time on the pitch his scoring is awesome. Udine became a european cup team because of him and de sanctis.

Genoa boss Gian Piero Gasperini has stood by his belief that Juventus and Milan lost a degree of credibility by hiring unproven Coaches in the summer.

Gasperini, who was one of the frontrunners for the Juventus job, said at the weekend that he had been perplexed by the club's decision.

“The fact that trainers without any experience are on the benches of two great teams leaves me perplexed and I consider it a defeat for the coaching category,” Gasperini ranted.

Speaking to Radio Milan-Inter this afternoon, Gasperini reiterated: “I only said that at the moment in which two important teams were entrusted to people with little experience, the role of Coach lost a little credibility and prestige.

“The incident has been turned into an argument with Ferrara and Leonardo, but it wasn't absolutely like that. Anyway Juventus and Milan have entrusted their teams to very valid people who will become great trainers,” he concluded.

Fuck Gasperini, obviously he's still bitter after Juve decided to go for Ferrara over him.

Huge strength through the middle all the way back to billy buffon...but where is width? And Momo MUST PLAY...In an ideal formation we would include Marchisio, Melo, Momo, Diego, Camo as DEFINITES...Trez aint exactly a slouch, but he is far from as fast as Giovinco, and DP has appalling pace, which leaves us a little flat footed in attack. Speed is so damn important in the modern game, especially if we play against any english teams in europe.

I suppose if we do adopt the above formation, then DP can play behind Trez, to the left a little, and Giovinco can revert to being his apprentice. Which would be annoying because for Gio to improve he needs to be playing, not benched awaiting DP to tire or get another injury.

Fuck it...we need to see what happens when we play Dp and Diego together, and the 4-1-2-1-2 gives us that option. Less chance for Gio, and Marchisio to play second fiddle to the two big men.

I just dont like the idea of putting optimum pressure on our weakest points, which are undoubtedly the fullback positions.
