you are absolutely right, also I don't know if people noticed but towards the end of the match with Fiorentina, in the midfield our players were so frustrated with each other that they started shouting/giving hand signs which looked more like "dudes just fucking move so I can pass you the ball".
it is funny that these situations do happen in professional football, because they are so basic and amateurish. i mean, hell i know those situations where i shout at my team mates "do you like to play football for a little" when they don't move to open up spaces... but surely this should not be a problem under professional circumstances .... i hope that ferrara does at least half of the things we mention here. that would give him enough work to do until at least the winter break ... and perhaps next season we can act as if we were juventus

If Ciro goes back to the 4-3-1-2 for next game then I don't know what to do. We had around 20 shots on goal today, how often has that happend? For the first time I saw some attractive football.

its either he keeps this

or plays the 4-3-2-1

either way

we will see the same formation if players arent too fatigued
the 2 dm are my worry though
with melo out and momo spent, who will play marrone?
who do we play next?

4-2-3-1 could serve us now, since our forwards are not quite on form and we have 2 DMs out. But only when all three (Diego, Giovinco, Camo) are available.
If just one of them is no show, this system will collapse,
to sustain in properly, we need more AMFs!

Although we are still not solid, and we could have lose 2 points or 3, but still Ferrara deserves the credit for seeing his mistakes, and having the balls to play both Giovinco and Diego. Let's see if he will keep playing both and stick with this formation.

If only Secco hadnt chipped Yago on loan just so he would rot on the bench of the 2nd team..we would have a good backup in him as i still remmember that game he had against Milan in the Tim cup.

Ferrara happy with the points Wednesday 21 October, 2009

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ciro Ferrara admits it wasn't the best Juventus performance, but for the first time with a new system, the points were all that mattered.

“We are a work in progress and can certainly improve, but tonight we were effectively using this system for the first time,” he said of the 1-0 win over 10-man Maccabi Haifa.

“One must also consider in the last six years the team has always used a basic 4-4-2 that the lads knew perfectly. We changed this season and so some difficulties in adapting are inevitable.

“At this moment in time I think the team needed this system and the trio supporting the striker with [Momo] Sissoko and Felipe Melo protecting the defence.

“The fact we didn't close it down and therefore ran risks at the end, that is something we need to improve. A great squad knows how to hold on to the ball and the initiative, especially against 10 men.”

Diego played as part of a supporting trident behind David Trezeguet, flanked by Mauro Camoranesi and Sebastian Giovinco.

“He still needs to get to know his teammates and the Juventus environment, but that's normal. I think he had a good game tonight and we are confident and he found his place between the lines very well along with working hard.”

Yet Gianluigi Buffon had to perform at least two stunning reaction saves to deny Maccabi a goal in Turin.

“We ran a big risk at the very start and another at the very end, but in-between we had numerous chances to finish them off and even hit the upright with Camoranesi,” added Ferrara.

Juventus equal their club record of 16 successive Champions League home matches without defeat and, thanks to Bayern Munich's 2-1 defeat in Bordeaux, go into second place.

Bordeaux lead on seven points with Juve on five and Bayern's four.

It sounds like he prefers this system that he tried tonight. I think its the way forward, for a new look Juventus. Momo and Melo are awesome. I love it.
