and before someone tells me I am not respecting Ferrara. I respect Ferrara the player. Ferrara the manager has yet to earn my respect (and yours)

I don't blame Ferrara for everything though. This was the season that we should have seriously challenged for titles and the board should have appointed a more experienced top class coach. Ferrara should have earned his coaching experience somewhere else before deserving to coach Juve. Harsh reality but that's the way it is when you want to win titles.

When in 'crisis' changing to a new formation in panic, usually makes things worse. Confidence and consistency is often more helpful, hence Ferrara keeping faith with his formation and choise of strikers isn't such a strange/unwise call at all.

Sure thing, but when is enough enough? when we are playing Intertoto and lose millions in revenue?, and potentially lose our best players?

is it alright for us to be Ferrara's gain experience team? Do we have the patience to let him make errors? Is that not why we got rid of Ranieri? because we were tired of errors and mediocre displays?

also why do we need to display confidence in our strikers when we have one that is scoring on the bench? You only show confidence in a players that are vital when you have no alternative.

The only player that needs confidence is Giovinco and he is getting zero of that from Ferrara

Because zero is the number that Ciro got form Gio when he played him.

Yeah, but we are talking about confidence and consistency right? his talent is there. Play him consistently and we will reap the rewards. Ronaldo was absolute shit in his first 2 seasons for Man United as well. Yet Ferguson played him on a regular basis and did not sell him to Real Madrid.

this is the price for hiring unexperianced coach, this is completly expected am not saying am not upset with the results, but i just hope that Ciro doesn't panic.

several points:
1. i don't expect Ciro to give Giovinco or any kid a chance until we get out of this mini crisis.

2. Ciro need to act more as a coach instead of pointing out whats wrong with the team, fix it. concentrate on your team.

3. as much as i hate to say but we he need to change the nice guy mentality.

This is the choice and risk we made when we hired him.
Thats why a team of our stature shouldnt be testing field for such things.
However it was our option and we have no one to blame but our selves, we have t face the consequences of our choices now and be fair with Ferrara...
We ought to give him a proper chance since we started with him...
I agree with that. I was just pointing out that his post wasn't making any sense.

Have you botherd watching juve this seasson before you posted this ?

The cancel each other out,

some say playing with Trez when not scoring is like playing with 10 men. I say playing with both Amauri and Iq is like playing with 9.

I agree with you but for coaches that are established, coaches that in a learning process have to be flexible and see what formation they can make the most of.

If Ciro puts De Ceglie or Iaquinta on that left flank instead of Giovinco in a 4-2-3-1 then he's a real coward and I'll officially hate him. All of Giovinco's friends from the U-21 are playing regularly, even fucking Abate. The biggest star and the most talented one is being treated like crap in Juventus.

I really thought things would be different this time around but tbh, what could you expect from an ex-defender as a coach?

You got a point there.

There are two options for any new coach:

1. Adapting the players to your formation.

2. Adapting your formation to the players you got.

The first one I storngly belive is the privilege of the more experienced coaches. So Ciro has no choise but to opt to the second one.

you are right but it has nothing to do with Ciro's playing position, just look at blanc.

Knowing Haifa very well, not playing Gio there is a fucking crime.
They have no strong or imposing defenders and the only strong one is slow as shit.
Gio would shine against them and not playing him in is natural position in a 4-2-3-1 is stupidity and plain hurtfull for the kid.

If thats the case ship him out, he dosent deserve to have is career washed down the drain yet.

Btw, he was pure gold against the Israeli U21, amazing.
