Anyone else thinks its weird that we didn't have any Defensive issues until Cannavaro got injured?

Though our back line will have alot more protection once Sissoko returns.

We could play Chementi at CB and still won't concede with a Midfield like this.

....... Melo......
Sissoko... Marchisio..
........Diego.............

We had them even with him. Just that they were less so.
Fullbacks!! The main problem, one of them at least should be very good defensively. We played with two weak defensive fullbacks, and 3 man midfield in front of them (without Sissoko who could cover their asses), so it's not surprise at all.

It's not Cannavaro that we are missing, it's Sissoko that we need.

Did you guys see how good our defense performed last season when Sissoko played? Then he got injured and our defense became bad. This season is no different really. Sure Canna will help, but when Sissoko comes back I think you guys will see how much better the defense starts performing when they have Momo protecting them

I dont think 1 man would make a difference.
The team isn't connected in a good way still. Maybe its the formation!
On paper, we are a very hard to beat team. When it comes down to the 90 minutes we are looking just as an average team.

Sissoko will play the same way (running around like a nutter) regardless of formation, so it is up to the players around him to make it work.

Ferrara calls for the Real Juventus
Tuesday 29 September, 2009
Ciro Ferrara believes he can silence the critics if he takes on Bayern Munich “playing in the Juventus style.”

The Bianconeri have drawn their last two consecutive Serie A games against Genoa and Bologna, while they were also held in the Champions League by Bordeaux.

“We need to get back to playing in the Juventus style,” said the Coach ahead of tomorrow’s trip to the Allianz Arena.

“We are targeting victory, even if we know how good Bayern are. We have the character it takes to reply to our critics on the pitch tomorrow night.

“It’s true that we deserved criticism after the Bologna draw and those notes will help push us forward to do better.”

Diego remains an injury doubt and could be introduced in the second half, while Alessandro Del Piero is on the bench after playing only a handful of minutes in the last month.

Sebastian Giovinco did not impress when he took the trequartista role against Bordeaux, so it’s possible Juventus could adjust their tactics in Diego’s absence.

“I don’t want to give any advantage to our opponents,” said Ferrara when asked about his line-up.

All due respect to Ferrara, but "Juventus style"? I mean, until just recently, that's basically come to mean long balls, hanging on for dear life onto one-goal leads, and covering our eyes whenever the ball comes to one of our fullbacks.

Saying "Juventus style" makes about as much sense as "Juventus material".
