Ferrara pens Juve deal

Thursday 4 June, 2009

According to the latest reports from Italy, Ciro Ferrara has put pen to paper on a one year deal with Juventus and is set to be the Bianconeri boss next season.

These reports from RAI Italia, which are yet to be confirmed, also reveal that the Old Lady’s Board took this decision after Luciano Spalletti reached an agreement with Roma to stay at the Olimpico.

Yesterday, Italy boss Marcello Lippi had confirmed he would allow Ferrara to leave La Nazionale if he was to take the Juve job.

Former Bianconeri goalkeeper Angelo Peruzzi should be the first member of the staff to be unveiled.

Its great to see some of our old champions back in the managment. They will drill into our players what the real Juve is all about and will clear out the weaklings (ie the ones who are not Juve material :D)

Forza Ciro per sempre! :touched:

A one year deal is a very good decision. We'll be able to see how it goes and then offer him a longer term deal if he does well.

I'd much rather do this than sign Spalletti for three years or whatever.

1 year sounds reasonable enough, it is his first job as head coach and I'm sure they'll extend if he does well

My god, I am truly excited to see a staff with familiar Juve faces. SPIRITO JUVE jyeah watakwatttt

I have my doubts about Conte too.....

My ideal move would be to keep ferrara with us for one season (with an option to renew he's contract depending on performance) and if things didn't go well then we can offer Gasperini the job (he signed for just one year with genoa this summer).
This is exactly what i wished for.
