Pep showed fantastic insight by playing Yaya at centerback. Some say he didn't have a choice, but playing him back there against Chelsea at the Bridge was absolutely crucial.

Some people just have a knack for finding pieces of the puzzle that fit perfectly. Hopefully Ciro has that ability, too.
I know. Most ppl thought he would put Abidal at CB given his size and the fact he plays CB for France sometimes. BUt that would have been a disaster... an even bigger disaster then Abidal was at LB.

I do hope Ciro gets the job as he has already coached several of the young players in the youth setup and has been in the club for a long time. He has shown he has what it takes in the last 2 games and I dont think there is much point to replace him with a slightly more experienced Conte. With Ferrara we can expect him to keep a good defence and that is the foundation to win titles. I also expect him to show alot of faith in Giovinco, Ariaudo, Marchisio, DC and Criscito (if he returns).

Hopefully Blanc saying the new coach will be said 2 weeks from now on, means we are really looking for serious options, I would think if they already decided Conte, they would proclaim that sooner then 2 weeks time.

At least he seems to have gotten the man management right in the last 2 games, and we needed that so much.

We also need to remember that he is not alone and the guys that are around him in the bench are no rookies either.

We all know Ciro knows nothing about being a coach in the big league, but i dont know why he seems to have got things right lately.

You got to commit at some point, because there are never any guarantees.

And the upside of seeing a legendary juventino on the bench is just too great to pass up. Conte is no slouch and has certainly earned his honor, but Ciro's already got the seat warmed up.

Blanc could be a one hit wonder and also play with one striker which I don`t like to see that happen to us
Conte is a good coach but still quite unexperienced
Ferrara the same as Conte but he is our current manager and I think we should give him a chance

Mmm maybe they will have a reunion and think more about the case...

Maybe they are planning to wait for the coach they want to give a response...

It can be anything.... but surely points more for the "other coach" option if u ask me.

Still, Ciro did a good job, i hope he mades it.

Laurent Blanc has been doing really good in france. He came in second place last year and he won the league this year. Could be good for us.

people are starting to take guardiola as a rule, i personally think guardiola is average at best tactically, the only thing that made him successful is simply his man mangement ability, which are class. he has a long list of players who have ego's that need to be tamed and thats what he did. besides with the squad he had at his disposal he could get results. thats my personal opinion.

I too would be prepared for Ciro to have the job. Something tells me he has good communication and motivational skills.

Nevertheless todays quote from Blanc that a new coach will be named in the next 10 days doesn't exactly sound as though he's the favourite.
