No he failed. Taking off Giovinco, bringing on Poulsen instead of Trez. This was terrible. We looked bad from minute one and this is Ciro's fault. He did not approach this game with a winning mentality. And this game was more important than the others we played. This was CL at home. anything less than 3 points if failure. And we have not even played the other favorite in the group yet.

you can't use lack of players as an excuse. That's why we have depth. We can't expect Del Piero to do everything. Some of the others need to step up big time.

Do you realize that two of the subs today are because of injured players?

We were overrun in midfield when we had four in there.

It would have been suicidal to put on a striker instead of one of them.

do you realize that taking off Giovinco was a bad decision by Ciro? How about brining in Poulsen instead of Trez when you need to go for the win? I mean was he trying to pull a Ranieri and defend the draw?

we got bossed by their midfield in OUR HOME TURF. If all we are going to do is play long balls because of that then bring Trez and hope some of those balls fall to his feet

I'm sure whatever mistakes that ciro has comitted, this is a lesson given to him by his teammate Blanc. It looked clear that Bordeaux was dominating midfield from the first minute. Still, our midfield composed of Melo, marchisio was not good physically.

although i think taking of gio was wrong putting a striker in for a mid wouldve been stupid considering we were still suffering

the sub shouldve been camo for tiago or another mid leaving giovinco on

You must play the percentages, Lion.

If we put in a striker for a midfielder, there was a bigger chance of losing than winning.

That should be apparent to anyone who was watching the general flow of the game.
