I don't think that Ranieri was or is a pathetic manager. far from it. As his history proves. Never likely to be considered a Great, nonetheless, he has been entrusted with high quality teams and hardly failed to at least show competency. Considering he built much of the team at Chelsea, which went on to great success, and steadied our ship as we sailed back into the top flight, achieving a very respectable 3rd, then helping us on our way to 2nd, only a fool would call him pathetic...

Yes, he had lost the dressing room by the time he was culled. But he can obviously manage. he knows how to make a team solid and functional. And also has an interesting character.

i wanted him OUT when he was expelled from our ranks, but that was not because i don't rate him as a manager. It was more due to the fact that he seemed to have taken us as far as his talents allowed, and I wasn't keen on his transfer policy.

Only the Poulsen for Alonso routine bothered me immensely.

And compared to Ciro, he is galactic class.

Ciro has failed with everything, at least during Ranieri's first season Del Piero and Trezeguet where topping the league in scoring. Now nothing works, nothing.

I miss him...at least my team wouldn't have been an inconsistent joke and would have still been in the CL
You could have said anything, like missing the triade, missing Lippi, Capello or missing the glory days.

But no.

Well heres a :cookie: for you for at least missing something.

All the sudden Ranieri is "a decent manager" and "atleast he did something right"!? :andyandbarcelona:

If I would have to choose between Ferrara and Ranieri, I would go for Ciro anytime.

You think we`re gonna find ourselves there at the end of the season?

I just don`t get how people here are all the sudden "giving credit" for Ranieri instead of showing some sort of support for Ciro. And yeah, I know Ciro probably doesn`t deserve our support at the moment, but lifting Ranieri to the pedestal isn`t going to help either!

But that`s it, I`m not here to argue (atleast not about this matter).

Ranieri is a loser but at least he understands coaching; Ciro, on the other hand, is a novice who was handed the keys to a brand new Ferrari, without even having any prior experience or knowledge of riding a bicycle.
