I don't trust Blanc. Or rather, I have more faith in Elkan than I do Blanc. And if someone of real class is available, like Gus, then I assume that moves are being made to sound him out, about either taking over NOW or next Summer. Blanc is failing as much as Ciro, presently...As for Secco, for me, he did well in the Summer Mercato. A massive improvement on his previous efforts.

the Owners can make the change, and will do, if their investments continue to lose value.

other than the purchase of felipe melo.. i think secco was good

give melo some time adjust

like mentioned above I think secco did make some good signings, other than cannavaro and grosso, however he destroyed all his hardwork when he hired ferrera, and he's denting it even more by not firing him

Why? this summer he did be did extremly well even you can't fault it.
That is not necessarily true imo, we have to reserve judgment until the end of the season for that. Our two main players hardly had an impact and were piss poor on many occasions. On plain view we all hailed the signings but now things are a bit different. Both have played in their positions or something close to it, so the coach cannot be faulted that much.

Shouldn't Secco be the one with the deeper view about the players and how they fit with the group, the culture of the club, league and country? As simply "footballers" they are great with wonderful abilities but it goes way beyond that and imo that is what is affecting them.

But I am prepared to give them both the chance to change their overall performances as it is not easy playing in this team and league.

Thats harsh. He's a sporting director not an oracle. No one can predict how a signing goes, its all based on past performance and based on that, evaluation of the future. He was at fault for only two things, overpaying for Melo (which was almost unavoidable considering that he was very good with Brazil during that time) and not getting enough cover for the back. Its the coach's job to motivate and bring the best out of the player. In hindsight we can blame Secco for everything, but a huge majority over here hailed the signings. He cannot be blamed for our current mess. The players, coach and Al-Qaeda share the blame for that.

:shifty: Andrade, almiron, Tiago, (overspending on both melo + amauri thats 25+20) buying criscito and shipping he's ass to another club in he's first season with us during mid-season after playing just 2-3 games !! Buying necerino and selling him the very next season. Selling C.zanetti for 1.5 millions  . Spending close to 100 Mil euros on midfielders yet ignoring the defence and spending only 5millions at best :sergio: .

You're right those are not faults but rather CRIMES :martini:

We are talking about this season, read carefully next time. I don't think selling Zanetti was a crime. He was on his last season with us, and considering that he'd have gone for free next season and considering his age and injury record, selling him was the best option. We wouldn't have gotten any more money than that for him. Nobody could have predicted that Melo would turn out to be so clueless. Unlike Diego or even Poulsen, Melo was proven in Serie A. Too bad he decided to screw himself in the head.

actually I was happy when we signed amauri, he was great with palermo, he is a shadow of himself now, don´t know what happened.
grooso seems to have his best days gone, but a s a sub he would be okay, not as a starter. what we lack is some good wingers on both sides. and a central defender as a backup. Chiel+Canno are great, but once one of them falls we play Legro and he is not near the standard, we saw it against munich. The game againt bayern was all coaching error from the first to the last minute in my opinion. I loved ciro when he played but well as a coach Juve isn´t a club to begin a coaching career in my opinion...

My mistake, thought you meant since he came here. The real question that really shows how brilliant Secco is :

The club have spent "140 million euros" on new players since we came back from serie B. Imagine the number, 140 million euros where did all that money go?

Our best defender is still Chiellini (allready was in the club before mr.Secco was in-charge), our best midfielder is Marchisio ( a Primavera player) and our best attacker is trezeguet ( part of the old Juve) + Buffon.

His first two seasons in charge were disasters. But he has shown that he has become much better as time progressed. We aren't the only club to spend money and not get its worth. It happens with all big clubs across all big leagues. He hasn't been able to shore up our defense for which he's still guilty. But otherwise he's far from the idiot people make him out to be. Even Moggi with all his experience splashed cash on players who'd turn out to be flops, so to expect Secco to get it right from the word go with so little experience is harsh. He should still learn how to sell players and how to negotiate better, but the current situation our team is in is hardly his fault.

Form is temporary class is permanent. Like my dad who's a Inter fan :sergio: (I know!) cannot understand with the quality players that we have, the way things are turning out. He said long ago that ferrara will be out of his depth to manage a massive club like Juve. I was up for giving him a chance mainly cos i loved him as a player and it would be a fans dream seeing a ex player produce miracles as a manager for a club he played for for so long. But this is life and things doesnt always go the way you want it to go. He should have started at Napoli or something. We need a manager who has been around and knows how it all works. Going fom Primavera team talking to young kids to actually running the main squad is a massive leap. Im still unsure about Mancini even though hes trying to talk his way into managing us by saying 'Oh as a boy i supported Juve' still if things go wrong the ultras will never embrace him cos of his Inter past. I thinks its now time to get rid of these old school italian managers and start catching up with the real football of today. The only Italian manager i'd have and i wanted him from the beggining was Prandelli. he plays modern sensible attacking football. Blanc says Ciro will remain coach. All i can say to that is you can go aswell frenchie!!
