Despite indications to the contrary, I am pretty confident we have come to the point where Ciro Ferrara is dispensed with following yet another abject performance tonight.

Ferrara's appointment, greeted with almost universal acclaim by Juventus supporters, always left me with serious doubts. The doubts stem from a scepticism connected with the appointment of an ex-player - no matter how successful - with little or no previous managerial experience at major league level, to a club like Juventus.

As we head towards the mid-season break, it can only be a matter of days before we learn of his departure.

It is now impossible to imagine that he has the strength of character, the necessary motivational ability or even the tactical and strategic nous, to revive players that look and perform with an obvious sense of being in a deep slough of despond as we contemplate the prospect of the remaining fixtures in 2010.

He clearly isn't up to the job. Now is the ideal time to lance the boil that is in danger of becoming an abscess before further damage is wrought. The players are clearly at a very low ebb with regards to self confidence and collective motivation as the necessary changes needed to revive the club cannot be implemented, simply because Ciro doesn't have to skill to do it.

For an obvious reason, the Internazionale result has to be seen as an aberration, if only because there is no need for the coach to motivate the players in a fixture that always brings out the best from those wearing the black and white.

I feel sorry that Ciro has had to learn the lesson in such an uncompromising manner, so publicly over the last few weeks.

I will wish him well for the future but for the time being we need a replacement who is capable of offering the tifosi a far better prospect of returning to a winning mindset by utilizing his squad far more effectively in terms of commitment, tactical and strategic cohesion and dedication to the cause.

So, if the original plan is to sack Ciro by playing such horrible football, Blanc says he stays. Now what? Players will continue to play this way?

It seems things will have to turn muuuch worse for the management to take measures.

It seems that until our CL spot is in not in real risk, they will not move a finger, AKA almost the end of the season.

I laugh when thinking of what they said when Ciro was hired. I think it was something like modelling the Barca style with having a young coach and shit. The thing is we don't have a club FULL of superstars and second we don't play their style at all. We can't control a game and pass a f*ckin' ball correctly. I love the player and was delusional after those first few games he coached but then reality came back and hit me like a train. The guy has no experience coaching Serie A and Europe. You need more to coach Juve.

I think some here overreact when it comes to Blanc words.

You really want him to come out and say Ciro is gone by Monday or smth. This never happens in respectful atmosphere. Not that i want Ciro to continue, but i am not expecting Blanc to come out and say Ciro s--ks, Hiddink is here come next weekend.

If Blanc would publicly criticize the coach, it would look a lot worse.

I am pretty sure something is going on in the corridors.

The board didnt assault Ranieri publicly either.

Are they trying to pull a Liverpool and have faith in the coach? At least Benitez is proven and has lead his team to the CL final twice, what the hell has Ciro to bring? It would've been ok if Ciro has shown that he can lead a team to a success but he's nothing more then a bad newbie.

havent you heard?
Diego is the new zico
Bah, I've nothing against Diego actually. The man is class, a truly gifted footballer. It makes me sick to my stomach every time he comes running at the opponent with the ball at his feet, desperately looking for someone to combine with yet all he finds is people hiding behind opponents/standing still. This is far from what he expected when he came here, and I believe he is gutted. Give Diego someone to play with or we'll see him perform wonders for another big club soon enough.

If Mancini join us, we should not only feel sorry about this season, but also for the next one... be prepared, so you will suffer less then...
Yeah seriously, we should create a list of all those for Mancini (we're talking about the Interista swine that is Roberto motherf**king Mancini) as coach for Juventus, so that we can look at these people and have a laugh after he's managed to run this club down to the absolute bottom.

How naive and fickle are people on this forum sometimes? To even suggest this cocksmoker as a Juve coach is an insult to our holy name.

What are the chances that the local fans still support Ciro? I havent seen any anti-Ciro posters.

Instead they laser Diego? Bash the management for letting go CZ and even whistle on our own players. Besides booing on subs.

A lot of them are idiots who don't know when to protest and when to cheer. Naturally they consider themselves "real" fans because they go to the stadium. :andyandbarcelona:
