It doesn't really matter what formation Ferrara fields when the players come on the pitch without a plan and are not trained neither to play nor defend spot kicks.
I wasn't saying 4-4-2 was the miracle cure, it's just the safest and sanest option right now.

Dare I suggest: Ciro's CL campagn thus far is making Ranieri look like the intelligent, creative, motivating, and dynamic coach that he is clearly not.
I have been a member of this forum for about six/seven years or so (had to re-register once in June due to some mods mistook me for some Turkish spammers) but before this season I had never written a post, just enjoyed the posts of you guys. Even such huge events as Juve's CL campaigns, Scudettos or the calciopoli failed to persuade me to post.

However, the performance of our current coach has made me do the impossible: starting to post here since the first few matches to express my disappointments. That is to say how bad our coach is. I can't understand the decision of our board to hire such an inexperience coach like Ciro.

You are right about that. Ranieri>Ciro in big CL games. (not that i am a fan of Ranieri, just comparing)
I am ecstatic that Ranieri is long gone.

But compare defeating Real Madrid twice and fighting to the end against Chelsea versus not even defeating Bordeaux once with a squad worth millions more? And playing like ass in the process?

It's an embarrassing and shameful comparison.

Ferrara: «I am sorry. Now we want to win against Bayern»

It could have been the night that brought an end to the games. Instead, the 5th match day had another verdict: Bordeaux won themselves the top spot of the table after having already achieved the qualification to the final 16. With regards to the second place it will be a duel between Juventus and Bayern with the bianconeri – on the 8th December – able to hope for 2 results out of 3 and count on the help of the Olimpico public.

Before thinking of the match against the German side however one must analyze the stop in France. Ciro Ferrara cannot be satisfied with the performance of the team: «On the eve of the match I said we must avoid fouls outside the area and instead we committed many and were punished for this. On set pieces we must be more careful and tonight we weren’t. Today we did not manage to play well as a team and even the individual players were affected. I am sorry about this defeat because we wanted to end the games but we did not deserve it. I am still hopeful for the next match. We will be playing at home and against Bayern we will try to win. We will not be satisfied with a draw».

He still has a long way to go to level Ranieri's record in apologizing, but Ciro is certainly ahead of schedule. At this tempo, in 3-4 months he'll beat Ranieri's record in apologizing, and it took 2 seasons for Ranieri to set the record.

Maybe if he losses against Bayern, he will resign. If he truly loves the club, he will realize, that he's hurting the club if he stays. A true Juventus legend will resign, in this situation.
