Juventus Giovanissimi Nazionali were in action this afternoon for their final competitive fixture of 2012. And Claudio Gabetta's Under-17s signed off in style as they beat Pro Patria away and notched up their seventh win on the trot. It finished 1-0 with De Mitri grabbing the only goal of the game.
Today's victory in Lombardy sees the Bianconeri go into the break on a high. But even more good news could be just around the corner on Sunday. At the halfway point of the season, the Giovanissimi Nazionali have collected 32 points, one less than group leaders Torino (33) and two more than Novara (30). But their two direct rivals are set to lock horns this weekend, so one or both are sure to drop points.
Sunday will also be the start of an exciting adventure for Juventus. The lads are set to travel to Qatar where they will take part in a highly prestigious youth tournament. It's bound to be an enriching experience for the Bianconeri youngsters and can only further boost their development.
