“We’ve booked our ticket to travel around Europe.” Giorgio Chiellini didn’t hide his feelings and after the Bianconeri’s win over Napoli admitted that, even if it’s not absolutely certain, their first great target of this season was almost hit: “I don’t want to be conceited, but I don’t think that in the next eight games left we’ll lose all the points we have over the third side in the table. It’s a very good result, because even if we obviously look ahead, we mustn’t forget that just two or three games ago, people said that we should have be careful and cast a glance over our shoulders…”
And now the eyes stare instead at the top of the table: “We must continue on this path. We’ve reached this position just because we’ve confidence in our means.”
The wonderful win over Napoli confirmed the Bianconeri’s right ambitions: “Perhaps Napoli are the trickiest side to play in one-shot game, due to their atypical way of playing and to the dangerousness of their players when are back on the counter. Today, we’ve been good in pressing them being everywhere on the pitch. In particular, we’ve emerged in the second half, as it often occurred recently. This happens thanks to our physical and mental condition, and to our way of playing. With a large ball possession percentage, we need to run less and at the end we're more vigorous. However, today the drive we had and the wonderful atmosphere at the stadium have made the difference.”
