For the first half Juve seemed so utterly focused on pressing Nordsjaelland that they forget they had to cover behind the pressing or try to play football themselves.

Juve then played what was, by and large, a perfectly decent second half, but failed to take chances and gave away a stupid freekick.


I don't understand the criticism of the 3-5-2 in this case, as much as I have repeated pointed out its limitations for playing in Europe.

Juve created more than enough chances to win the game comfortably and barely allowed the opposition a chance.

Still, I suppose everyone will jump on whatever long-standing grievance they have, as they always do after a poor result, whether or not it was relevant in this particular game.

Agree with this. Juve created more chances and were the better team, Nordsjelland created next to nothing. It's odd that Juve didn't win but you can be sure that if Vucinic or Bendtner were on from the start, Juve would have almost certainly won. Matri provides so little.

Our midfield alone could win us the league in Italy, but in Champions League we need a forward that could bang in the goals. I hope we make it out of the group stage, it would give us a chance to invest in the transfer market and prepare us for the knock out stages.

Pirlo was by far our best player. It's not even funny to put him in the same team as the others. The team did not show up in the first half and in the second we showed our usual selves in not taking our chances.
