Unfortunate not to win game. Their gk was MOM.
But need more clinical finish, like Vucinic'c goal, Matri and Quagliarella not consistent enough.
Pirlo dominates another game, long balls, corners and FKs, just no one there to score from them.

wrong Juve will be ahead of chelsea because of the two away goal rules :p

if Juve draw against chelsea 1-1 then we would be ahead
I think they changed head-to-head to goal difference now to separate sides level on points, hence some people were saying we should try to beat Nordsjaelland by 4 goals or something.

let's assume everyone beats Danes, then the table will be:

Shakhtar 10
Chelsea 7
Juve 6

The most important will be Chelsea - Shakhtar result,

case 1) Chelsea wins
Chelsea 10 (after 5 games)
Shakhtar 10 (after 5 games)
Juve 6 (after 4 games)

To qualify we must win with Chelsea and Shakhtar (imo impossible)

case 2) Shakhtar wins
Shakhtar 13 (after 5 games)
Chelsea 7 (after 5 games)
Juve 6 (after 4 games)

here the minimum plan will be beating Chelsea

case 3) draw

Shakhtar 11 (after 5 games)
Chelsea 8 (after 5 games)
Juve 6 (after 4 games)

Here seems that the minimum plan is also beating Chelski, or drawing them and beating ukrainians, then we must count on better goal ratio ?

If Juventus beats Nordsjaelland, Chelsea, and doesn't lose to Shakthar, the club makes the CL knockout.
And then draws again?

I don't think people are thinking through the ramifications here. I appreciate positive thinking. But even if we did manage to qualify somehow, this club has offered nothing to make anyone believe they deserve to advance any. Time to face that reality.

unlucky to concede on a non-existent foul and not taking our chances, usual story.

at least we put in a good performance though.
The foul was debatable... but the blatant bad pass from de ceglie of ocurse not. He fuked up big time there. He always looks nervous and prone to commit a mistake here and there.... is like the bad version of Bonucci, because at least bonucci has confidence in himself but is mistake prone. De ceglie always looks hopeless.

And yeh, i dont want to believe we are out.... we can for sure pummel this fellas in our home... i just dont want to believe we cannot.... and we for sure can win against chelsea as long as we approach the game correctly,.... and that is the most dangerous part....because we have been approaching this game like noobs.

On top of it all...we lack a Cavani liek striker to secure this kind of games.

We NEED a WC finisher now!!!!.

Chelsea is so gonna beat us and eliminate us :D

Beh, at least we can fully concentrate on winning the scudetto. Passing the groups or not, this season in CL will be a good lesson and it will show us what exactly do we lack for Europe.

Not yet, obviously, but ... deep down I feel the way you do, that we are down and out. I'll take progressing from the group stages as a bonus at this point. Let's just take one game at a time and see where we end up. At minimum, we now need to draw against Chelsea at home, beat NS at home and beat Shaktar away. Easier said than done.
If Chelsea beat Shakhtar, which I do believe, your case wont be enough!

oh well were out then

I actually hope we lose our unbeaten streak in serie a maybe that would influence the deluded to act

every phase we advance is more income for our club....and our objective this CL IMO is to collect the most money we can to fund a good striker for the next season.

to sum up:

1- Lose the freakin 3 defenders - we are not Siena .. 4/3/3 looks good especially with Pepe coming back
2- Buy a class forward and lay off Matri, meanwhile give bendner more play time
3- Guys let's cut DC some slack! I know Asamoah is way better technically but at least he is more aggressive and looking to cross rather than passing it back to Pirlo as if I can't do that myself.
