This CL group is not over.
It's not, especially if Shakhtar get a good result in London. It doesn't matter much because we're definitely not good enough and even if we pass the group stage, we're gonna get eliminated very soon. Serie A is fooling us into thinking that we're great. It was obvious vs Shakhtar that we're far from the desired level of football in CL.

Oh, and De Ceglie must leave this team. Chiellini can't get a brain so we must live with his dubious decisions to needlessly foul and kick the ball, but De Ceglie will always be a liability.

I am not,
i believe that we underestimated them, as we have shown no haste until it was very late.
And i do believe that we were slightly better than them, but not clinical enough, it is not Giovinco's fault that we dont have a finisher to complement him, neither the coaches who has no such option.
IMO Giovinco did good enough today, with a proper striker besides him, we would have won this!

I'm still very optimistic. We still have a good chance of qualifying.

Shaktar 7pts
Chelsea 4pts
Juventus 3pts
NJD 1pt

We can do it.

People slating Gio for his lack of finishing? Gio was our CF not our Striker, it was Matri's role to play as a striker, it says a lot for Gio that he was the one to have more chances...

Matri takes up as many different positions as a fucking lamppost, the guy is the most static and predictable striker I have ever seen. He reminds me a lot these days of Amauri. OK maybe no one can ever be as shit as Amauri, but he's not far off...

I think I'm done watching Matri as a starting striker on this club. I don't understand why they continue to start him. I know Vucinic was ill but Bentner was ready and willing to take his chances. You would have to think with so many corners, he would have been able to get his head to at least one of them if he was playing the entire game.

That's not really fair to say.

If we advanced from the group its because we deserved it. And anything can happen after that.

I feel we need 7 points in the last 3 games to go through... if we could beat Chelsea at home, tie in Ukraine and finish it off with a win at home vs these dudes.... Its doable, but do we have what it takes to get it done? Finishing is a problem, its OK for SerieA, we're at home practically for every game, we're the big dogs there, in the CL we are just another team and need to climb the mountain. I can't stop thinking of what if we had gotten Aguero, he is the perfect player upfront for this team!
how on earth are we going to beat Chelsea and tie with shaktar
Alen made a good point Tbh
