He did? I hate everyone on that company, even the hilarious guy that had the job of listening in to Vieri's phone sex with Elisebeth Canalis ;)

P.S His Wiki page says he is Vice Pres for Bologna.
Telecom and Ferrari made some kind of a partnership this year...

About him being Bologna-VP, I think it's a mistake. The Italian version doesn't mention it. Anyway, we can't trust wiki 100% but the Italian version is more detailed.

I expect this formation, and it's not too bad:

    Manninger
    Grygera Legrottaglie Chiellini De Ceglie
    Giovinco Sissoko Marchisio Nedved
    Amauri Del Piero

Iaquinta to step in sooner or later depending on the result.

if there was one reason to sub DP on Saturday, it was because of Real, im pretty sure he will start.
if there was one reason not to play Gio against Napoli, it was to have him completely fresh against Real, which is much more important game.
if there is one way we can get points from this game, than its Legro (if he isnt fit, its not worth to turn on the tv tommorow) - Chiellini in defence and brilliant Alex.
and what about Iaquinta? was he rotated and Amauri again will have to sit on bench in CL or Vincenzo is injured too?

    -------------Manninger
    Grygera-Legro-Chiellini-De Ceglie
    ---------Sissoko-Marchisio
    Salihamidzic--------------Giovinco
    ---------------Del Piero
    -----------------------Amauri/Iaquinta

    or without legro

    ------------------Manninger
    Salihamidzic-Grygera-Chiellini-De Ceglie
    --------------Sissoko-Marchisio
    Marchionni----------------------Giovinco
    -----------------Del Piero
    ----------------------Amauri/Iaquinta

If Nedved starts this game in any position Ranieri must be fired after the first half. Luckily there isnt many options available and Ranieri dont have the players to make an extra stupid starting lineup. Or does he?

at least most of the injured players are getting back. I just hope they don't get rushed.
It seems that most of the injured players are always rushed. Just look at Buffon, I have doubts over the current Team Doctors.

PS: I also noticed that Ranieri didn't call up Tiago when were short in CM at the moment, with C. Zanetti & Poulsen injured.

So, we'll defend the wings ( where Real are great) only with our full backs ?
    Plus Marchiso and Momo .

I don't think that DC and Molinaro are up to it , they suck in the defence area :melayyanandmessi:

we used Grygera --- Legro --- Mellberg --- Chiellini , against Man utd last summer and we looked solid back then .

And as you know , the best way to defend is to attack your opponent .

With Seba , Amauri , DP and Iaquinta we'll force ther wings to defend as well .
And I don't think that we have an LM or RM that defend and attack well other than Camo , maybe Brazzo but he wouldn't offer so much when we need to score , so is Nedved .

Haha yeah. It would be confusing what to do with that extra space that ends up between the wingbacks and the side CBs. It takes alot of cordination and planning to switch to that formation, its demanding, cant do it over night. I know, I seen the mess it can be if you just line it up and play, with the Swedish NT.

But if anything, I like your thinking. Trying to adapt to our sitaution, some change, because our current state does not compute in any way.

There is one thing you are missing there, this year is already wasted,
we only hope that we can improve our team next year,
if CR +our current board survives this crisis intact, then we will probably not fire them by the end of the season.
A caretaker like Conte cant dont any worse than CR right now.
We can keep him by the time someone like Prandelli or Spaletti becomes available and then release him without any explain/question, when we have the option to get a proper coach.
We cant do that with CR and CR doesnt force our hand to replace him, as someone like Conte would...

If you care for our future and you want us to have better chances to actually win smth, you must accept some sacrifices now,
i am generally against replacing coaches, mid-season, this is smth small clubs do.
But right now, things cant get any worse...
We are in a deep, deep crisis and there is only one way out...
i also don't believe in changing horses midstream...it's often a knee-jerk measure n things hardly ever get better...but considering how low we've sunk under CR,i think it's imperative that we ditch him A.S.A.P.-moreso if Madrid give us the treatment our recent form predicts!
I'd say we sack him,n bring back DD...he's worked here b4 n his learning curve would'nt be as steep as that of Conte/Ferrara..plus he's got top-flight experience as well...

    i'd go with:

    Manninger

Grygera-Mellberg-Legrotagglie-Chiellini (bcus we need some SOLID fullbacks against Marcelo,Robben,Van Der Vaart,Raul & Sergio Ramos)

    Marchisio-Sissoko-De Ceglie

    Giovinco-Amauri-Del Piero

    in terms of:

    - talent
    - individual matchups
    - coaching

madrid wins every category by a landslide

so lets not get ahead of ourselves and predict us out scoring madrid or shutting them out
