maybe the service that our players could not have will be a point. you can have 3 strikers on the field if they ain't getting no balls...giovinco can help a lot in that matter.I dont expect gio to score goals or to be our messiah, but 3,4 through passes for trez or dp will do wonders...I surely hope tiago will do that duty. I don't think ranieri will play (if the score won't be favourable for us) with 5 strikers..amauri will enter as a 3rd striker imo.

No I'd put 2 starting + leave 3 on the bench 2 out and out goalscorers and gio.
You realize if gio plays he will be marked like a bitch by ballack who is still 10x better than him, nedved can still play good through balls and take the punishment, watch some of the takles he took from ballack in the first leg. I'm sorry but I just think you're arguing for a lost cause

I'd have Gio on the bench and only bring him on if we have to throw the kitchen sink at Chelsea... With Essien back their midfield is stronger than it was 2 weeks ago... I just hope he isn't match fit and Drogba sprains an ankle or something when climbing the stairs of the Olimpico...

As much as I would hate to see Brazzo on the field come Tuesday, I always get the feeling that he might score against the big sides... I still don't wanna see him on the field on Tuesday though..

If the midfield is gonna be this
Marchisio----Tiago
doesn't it look a little vulnerable?

It's more vulnerable than having Sissoko there, but with Iaquinta and Nedved playing a bit more centrally I think it will be the best we can do. The alternative for me would be this:

Poulsen
Tiago Marchisio
Nedved
Trezeguet Del Piero

Sissoko fractures foot Sunday 8 March, 2009

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Terrible news for Juventus ahead of the Chelsea showdown, as Momo Sissoko has fractured the fifth metatarsal in his left foot.

The midfielder has been struggling with pain in that foot for some time, but during a collision in last night’s 1-0 derby win over Torino, fractured a bone.

The official club website confirmed the news with a Press release this afternoon, although there is no word on how long he will be sidelined for, but it is likely to be at least a month.

Sissoko had been rested for much of that game in order to prepare for Tuesday’s Champions League tie.

Losing the former Liverpool man is a heavy blow for the Bianconeri, who are already without midfielders Claudio Marchisio, Mauro Camoranesi and Cristiano Zanetti.

The injury list also includes Paolo De Ceglie, while Nicola Legrottaglie and Zdenek Grygera are battling to be fit in time.

The referee assigned for Tuesday’s game in Turin is Spaniard Alberdo Undiano Mallenco.
