Similar to what has annoyed me about us for several years is that when we press we run towards the one in possession and then we have stand off and wait for them to do something. We don't really try to recover the ball. Koop's energy is vital here, he is the one really digging in. Yesterday there were several times where one of our defenders were isolated against 3-4 or even five opponents but they didn't do anything. Ran up close to him and just looked and cut off angles, no one went after him. Thuram even squeezed through a few times because no one really battled for it. So they are just passing through, they are not fully engaged.
