Really dissapointed the two legs didn't produce the type of football that lead us to the quarters, completely relapsed into conservative Capello era cautiousness, seemingly devoid of any ideas and real hunger, sure we needed to keep our head but you can't win a game by letting Bayern have the ball and creating no chances.

I could accept the scoreline of 2-0 with us throwing the kitchen sink at them. But we simply turned a mush performance. Not out on a high by any means possible.

Our strikers are the blame. None of our strikers are strong and tall players, they lost almost all their aerial battles. This means we are not able to pump long balls to them when we are desperate.

It was really sad to see us being forced to play the boring method even when we need goals so desperately.

I really think quag should be sold to get a physically strong and high work raye striker. Couples with llorente, we will have a wide range od srrikers to play a wide range of tactics.

I really feel sad for conte that he has to force himself to deny his strikers lack of quality so often in the media
My post was in reference to how easily Bayern could control the game. Once one of their midfield got possession, all they needed to do was play the ball back to their teammates in defence and they could retain possession easily. Quagliarella and Mirko can't cover two players each. It doesn't matter if you have Kuyt-Olić there either, they can't cover the entire width of the pitch against a team that is set up efficiently. All of Bayern's control stemmed from this ability to have the safe option in playing the ball back and starting over again. Juventus weren't taking any risks, it was the approach you might see to a regular Serie A game. There was little pressure high up the pitch.

Would you see Vidal, Lichtsteiner and Pepe fighting for possession in more forward places? You know the answer to that. Even in possession I was getting annoyed at Padoin+Asamoah not pushing themselves forward and trying to create an extra threat behind the Bayern defense. Something Licht does regularly, even Isla did it once or twice.

Obviously the team needs better strikers, but it doesn't end with lacking a couple of forwards/requiring extra experience, it has been a very disappointing pair of Champions League games from Juve.

Thought that asamoah was pretty much decent...bonucci also...we are just not Good enough. We and other Serie a Teams will need years to compete again

Really? You're disappointed overall with our CL campaign?

I can't say I am. Disappointed that we didnt put more of a fight up against them over two legs. But proud of being back amongst the top 10 teams of Europe again.
We didn't beat any of the best teams out there, so yeah disappointing. Semifinals is probably the bare minimum to get players excited, and we also lost bad against Bayern.

We need to have the 4-3-3 back in our plan, at least for plan B, especially when we needed to score 3..3-5-2 wont get us goals against top CL teams, especially if we dont have any wingers with real speed and technique to get past players.

I dont know what happened after halftime, we played even worse,Pogs,Mirko and Quag played a good first half, especially Pogs,he just didnt show up in the second.

I am not angry just a bit sad of the way we approached these two games. The pussy mentality was dominant in both games and the brainwashing that Conte did on the players that we are way inferior was obvious.

I don't think with the way we ended the CL season will attract any world class forward seeing how we simply gave up, no fighting, no spirit and no anger on the pitch. It's just sad.

From the match today Pirlo managed again to be the worst player on the pitch followed by Marchisio and Quagliarella. And once again I have to highlight how bad Asamoah is going forward.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Ex.....fuqing .....actly what I was saying.

We shouldn't be ashamed, we lost against which is maybe the best team in Europe at this moment. And there's no shame on that.

I'm a bit sad because we didn't did our best at both games, on this one we looked more confident and all that, but just wasn't enough. We didn't showed hunger, anger, desire and the hope to be the winners on this competition. We always seemed to be happy to get "this far".

TBH I think we could have totally kicked out Galatasaray, Málaga, maybe PSG, maybe Barcelona and also even we could have given a good run to BVB. But Real Madrid and this Bayern were our most dangerous opponents. We needed a bit more of luck.

Everybody learned a lot from this first season on the Champions League. IIRC Borussia Dortmund on their last Champions League season, which was the first one in a while, were last on group stage! We, on the other side, reached quarter finals. Look where they are now, there's hope. We just have to make the correct moves, seize all this experience and come back harder, better, faster, stronger, hungrier, with more anger and we will do even better next season.

So you still didnt enjoy beating Chelsea, Shakhtar or Celtic? Chelsea might not be on the top level of Euro teams, but were CL holders, and I, for one, loved our two games against them.

I did. Bayern are probably the best team in the world at the moment, as bad as we played over two legs, no shame AT ALL in going out to them.

Wel said. Im with you. The ss should also be tsll and strog.
Why would we sell vuci? He is aplayer with quality, he just needs someone next to him, he can not do it himself, him and quags usually pair up good and quags had a couple chances, but we need someone else. I'd rather sell giovinco then vuci, when vuci doesnt play our attack misses something
