He has had two years to adjust and adapt. Next season is make or break as far as Europe is concerned. We can't keep experimenting, studying, and conserving energy all the time. At some point in time we have to implement what we have studied and use up that fucking energy.

Now that I've calmed down

- Semih Kaya was fantastic, my motm.
- I still really hate Dogba and Sneeijder.
- The match shouldn't of been played.
- How Bonucci keeps getting away with wearing the jersey of Juventus is a bigger crime than the US killing innocent people.
- Lichsteiner is bad.
- People are overreacting over Pogba. He is one of the best midfielders in the world. Let's not forget the pitch he was playing on..I bet no one noticed how he outmuscled Yilmaz (?) 2 or 3 times in a row. He is a machine
- Somehow I think this is a blessing in disguise. No 9golan means we could go for a top LB and chuck Asamoah in the middle instead and I really wouldn't feel confident going up against someone like Bayern again, we are not ready for that yet.
- We need a CAM
- 352 in Europe is a huge no no.
- We will now go all out for Serie A and achieve a record 3 titles in a row.
- We should use bench and youth players for Europa League.
- Fuck Galatasray, Dogba and Sneejder. Also Eboue. Fener > Galalalalallalalalal

His lack of ability to adapt his play to fit the European style also makes one wonder.
What irritates me is that he has the potential to become really one of the tops managers but is letting it go away with these tactical stubbornness in Europe.

Even if he'd win the Europe league, I wouldn't consider Europa league an achievement for the type of players he has in the squad.

The funny thing is if it wasnt for the refs we wouldnt even be 1st in $#@!ty serie a
To add to my previous post

- Conte is a coward in Europe
- Soren's post was the best thing from this debacle
Ya true , we been helped by mistakes from referees. Conte is living in past glory. He keep harping how he win from the 7th place Juve.
He doesn't want to change. Remind me of Capello.

Dose anyone have a list of how many times huge club like us didn't get out of the group stages?.
I've only used examples where clubs would probably be expected to progress, based on their ranking. In the earlier days there was first a straight knock-out, then only one team progressed with best 2nd places, so lots of teams went out. More recently it is easier to distinguish flops.

Earlier format:
Milan 1996/97 (finished 3rd)
Barcelona 1996/97 (finished 4th)

Two qualify format:
Milan 1999/00 (finished 4th)
Rangers 2000/01 (finished 3rd)
Juventus 2000/01 (finished 4th)
Barcelona 2000/01 (finished 3rd)
Lazio 2001/02 (finished 4th)
Liverpool 2002/03 (finished 3rd)
Bayern Munich 2002/03 (finished 4th)
Inter 2003/04 (finished 3rd)
Lazio 2003/04 (finished 4th)
Man Utd 2005/06 (finished 4th)
Juventus 2009/10 (finished 3rd)
Manchester City 2011/12 (finished 3rd)
Manchester United 2011/12 (finished 3rd)
Manchester City 2012/13 (finished 4th)
Chelsea 2012/13 (finished 3rd)
Juventus 2013/14 (finished 3rd)

Less shocks in the later 00s, probably due to financial inequality, then in this decade a spate of them again. With the exception of Man Utd in 11/12 most of those were directly against teams who are also pretty well off, varying from Real Madrid and Bayern Munich to Shakhtar Donetsk and Galatasaray.
