I know but it's definitely more fun.

I learned the basics in an introductory course, I'd like to continue to learn it when I'm finished with my degree.

only because unlike most other european languages there is no masculine and feminine way of saying and writing things. For some reason i found German a lot easier than French that was till i studied German literature. kinda gave up with it at that point

French is my mother tongue and I know it's pretty hard to learn when it's your second language.
