I envy pool fans so much.

They were shit when we were on top. Just Look how a manager changed them so much.

And this is not on Allegri.
Our managers are responsible for this shit.
They were shit, we were on top and they still won a CL.

Since then they are now on top have won another CL and possibly could add another this season while we look about miles off their level.

Villarreal have shown that if you defensive solidity and a good counter attacking plan you can still do well in Europe though I agree with you that we have been struggling in Europe for the past three years.
They don't show anything tonight. This pussy football may take a team progressing far with little bit of luck but it will never win anything

They are brilliant. But most likely era over as soon as Salah leaves.
Or Klopp. Nothing last forever, but those big PL teams will at least remain competitive as long as the money train keeps rolling. We've struggled with bad recent management and don't have a huge franchise to fall back on to keep making the same mistakes, you do that in current Serie A and you end up with long barren spells and CL irrelevance, like Inter and Milan.

Klopp?
Jürgen Klopp could stay at Liverpool beyond 2024 ‘if I have the energy’
Klopp, 54, could extend stay if he retains enthusiasm
‘My future will be OK. The plan is the future of the club’
Yeah we'll see anyway, I don't see him being like Wenger. If he's already talking about it now it's in his mind. And soemtimes when a new cycle starts it's time for a new coach. This is something Wenger didn't do well.

They will find a replacement, they have money + whole world wants to play for Kloop
There are certain few super world class players that carry a team. Salah is that dude. There system is great, they have multiple top players etc. But maintaining this level without Salah will be incredibly difficult.

Yep for sure. They will easily remain a consistent top club for ages in this EPL bubble. But I said the Salah bit, or Salah level player, to remain champion level. Allways need a player like that for the extra mile.

But yeah it goes without saying Klopp is the most important figure there. I see no reason for him to ever leave Pool lol. He has the perfect setting for him. Unless he gets tempted by Bayern eventually, but doubt it.

We were getting there and Allegri took us as far as he could. We needed a further upgrade in players and coach to get to the next level. But then poor coaching hires, expensive risky transfers, distraction by the Super League & Covid set us back years.

They hired an incredible manager that built something special but they also have EPL money that makes them more resilient as an institutions. They're not as financially sensitive as we are that a bad season or a bad transfer or a CL group stage exit sets them back for years. The cost of a single hiccup is much more magnified for us. We can win scudetto next season and still be years behind the EPL clubs.

Once Klopp & Pep are gone we will see how much they've built an institution that can recover and compete at the EPL level on a consistent basis. Utd looked like the most stable institution in the world until Fergie left. Then we realized that their Marketing/Finance department are the only parts of the club that can stand up on its own and keep the money coming without Ferguson. Every other aspect of the club collapsed.
