This game reminded me of our away game against Porto in 2015. Lost 3-1 and played like shit.

Then we turned it around completely in the return leg and won 6-1. But I don't know if we'll be able to do that again this, we really gotta play much better than we showed tonight.
Nagelsmann is crazy, I love high pressing, but he is completely crazy with the defensive line, why the hell are Bayern defenders always standing so high lol

It was the same under Flick. But under Flick we managed to play better offensively and really make the opponent suffer.

If it wasn't for Neuer then we probably wouldn't have won the 2020 final. We were really high on the pitch and Mbappe, Neymar and Di Maria all had big big chances in the first half.

I like our style of football when we're rolling, but as soon as things don't click I feel like we become too much gung-ho. We really miss a player like Thiago, Kroos etc to control the tempo.

Losing to the potential CL champions fiu
Hit the post, had a goal disallowed. Bayern lucky they didn’t lose 3-0 to this swashbuckling Villareal too. They’ll turn it around at home tho.

The shittiest CL coach in all football. I guess at least he’s trying to learn how to dine in 100 euro restaurant. :lol3:

Extremely lightweight in midfield with so many wingers in the squad.

With Flick Bayern's fullbacks were different animals

It's a shame Goretzka just came back from injury, we really missed his presence in the midfield.

But I also think Nagelsmann made a mistake playing Coman on the right instead of the left. Coman is much better on the left side really.

Davies solo runs against Chelsea and Barca in our treble season. :scared:

I personally wish we can play to 70% of any Bayern style since 2012

Our 2015 punched above weight and 2017 was a solid team but with a bit of weaker midfield to win in Europe. Eventually, our mid got stomped in the final.

It still dazzle me how any coach imagine he can win in Europe with dynamic and pressing teams. At least, this is the most abilities CL winning team should have with some exception here and there,, it is football afterall.

How is it that the Spanish teams are so good in Europe? I understand EPL because of the money, but Spanish teams seem naturally gifted.
There are probably multiple factors contributing to the strength of their league: Lots of good domestic players, many of them technically proficient. Popular among South-American players, quite a few quality players from Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay for example. Very tactical league, some might even call it a defensive league.

It's crazy how underrated La Liga has became among the non La Liga following fan base.

They also younger compared to other leagues, so can still fire at all cylinders in april playing twice a week.
