Totally agree, but the Italians have no one to blame but themselves with their corruption and self sabotage. There were many opportunities to close the gap and play catch up but instead they chose to fall further behind.
The Italians simply can't compete though, even without the corruption. They're simply not rich enough. Europe was slowly reduced two three leagues over time; English, Spanish and Italian because of finance, then over time most of the leagues became one man league besides the EPL. Now there really is only one league left. The EPL really did destroy football. International football died a long time ago, now club football is mediocre baring the EPL.
Yep. They are the true super league now. Nobody will come close to the EPL from now on. The rest of the “top” European leagues will be about as relevant as the Dutch and Russian leagues soon enough.
Tbh I’m like you as well, I have very little interest in football at the moment outside Juventus and our current shitty predicament. This sport is getting more disgusting by the year.
You have big teams such as PSG signing Donarumma and not even using him. Previously players would be more evenly spread because the super teams cannot afford to keep such quality on the bench. Now the ridiculous money had allowed the best to simply cram all the teams under one bus, and only use the ones as they please.

Anyway, it’s good for us in terms of money with Atalanta not qualifying to the next round. It also means they’ll be playing on Thursday nights which will mess with their schedule a bit.
Bayern will fall the moment their current crop of players decline just as we did when we lost our best players. They cannot keep competing with the riches of the EPL.

They did have chances to improve stadiums, work together on TV rights, improve their marketing and production, do better on PR (fuckin anti-racism chimps lol), not have scandals every year, not cripple the league through Calciopoli, etc. etc. etc.

Dude, Serie A literally had 3 Italian teams in the Semi Final in 2003 and two in the final when Abramovic bought Chelsea that year. The Chelsea-Abromovic purchase was simply the marking point. People blame the 'scandel' of 2006, but it was always inevitable, once the very rich took interest in the EPL.

Barcelona is what these EPL teams will become in time, you simply can't spend that much on players and wages and not expect it to exceed the club's income at some point. Man Utd are on their way down while Arsenal slowed spending and their quality has suffered massively as a result. When the bubble bursts, these clubs will be in a dark place.
