You know it’s gone bad if you sign a player like him, his status is only puffed up by being the main striker for a really poor Dutch NT crop in attack.

Of course Barca will look straight past this and wank over the fact they have the Dutch NT’s striker as for them it’s all about the Mes Que un Club, we are Cruyff’s legacy philosophy.

They want to fire Koeman, but there is a problem. Barca picked Koeman away as national coach for The Netherlands. Koeman's agent got a clause in the contract that they have to pay if he got fired in 3 years by Barca. He is there now for 2 years so if they fire him Barca must pay Koeman between 12 and 14 million. Barcelona is in serious debts and can't pay so much money lol. Oh and there are no better affordable coaches available at the moment, so maybe they will pay 12-14 mil for the same shit.

Oh that clause was because he bought out his own contract for 6m euro's with his own money to coach for Barca. If hey get fired Barca must pay that 6 million back to Koeman. They other 6-8 million is his salary.

I wonder how much it'll cost Barca if they start sucking United style. United with all the EPL benefits have stagnated revenue wise since 2017, basically not growing at all, while most of their competitors kept growing at a fast pace (until Covid of course). Barca might even go backwards.

Yeah, it is inevitable. The don't have the same marketing power now that Messi has left. If you look at the squad, they have at best 3 exciting players in FDJ, Fati and Perdi. The rest are meh.
Sporting and financial stagnation is already there for them, they haven't cut their loses fast enough. If they don't find anything in their academy, they're in for an interesting future.

Long term I can see them recovering, everyone is deep in debt these days after all.

Thank fuck Juve pulled the trigger on Tici and that galactico project. Perhaps a bit too late due to complacency.
