We've a joint tapir trophy winners this week: brutto & dai for being contrarian donuts

Bayern are shrewdly run, but their morals on how much a player should cost and earn will inevitably hold them back. You can't stay at the elite top for long if you're tier 3 in the economics of it all.
Actually their long term thinking is what made them this good

In the future i see them and us being top 2 for the same reason (2 yrs after signing ronaldo & focusing too much on CL now with signing older players being only exception) and city rounding up top 3 due to due epl and their $. Don't see them ever being tbe very best bc they lack class and genuine on field soccer smarts (same as psg who keep buying attacking players, and lack of domestic competition will hurt them in europe).

Post perez Real and barca top 5. So far ahead of everyone else in la liga, they'll never leave top 5 sans short bouts.

Thats given agnelli stays and doesnt join exor/ferrari. His abilities are more useful/important there from business perspective.

:agree: got kicked by Ajax-Lyon-Porto because Real get favoured by refs :agree:
I know its not the main topic here, but we played with Rugani - Bonucci in the return leg against Ajax, lost Dybala at half time and played with several other players that weren't entirely fit both in Amsterdam and Turin. Luck wasn't on our side in that tie.

Lyon was inexcusable.

And the worst in all of this is the feeling that this is how we use those seasons of good and 'easy' draws in the CL. Eliminated by Ajax. By Lyon. By Porto. Such powerhouses, much wow.
Finally our luck will end. We will be drawing Bayern, Real, City, Barca in 1/8. What do you think will happen?
There are teams that are getting tough draws almost year in, year out. Soon it'll be our turn.

The worst is the embarrassment it brings especially when people know you support this shit team.

Its better that we are 5th than 2nd. At least we wont be dissapointed next year, again.
I really hope we get a good coach so the elimination from CL would be more bearable.
The only elimination I accept is the one against Ajax as they were a very good team and we had some obvious problems in our team.
Lyon - We should pass regardless of the situation
Porto - and with 10 men... Seriously I would expect a serious win.

How long do you think we will play CL football?

And even then, do you really think we will progress from the group to meet those teams?

Juventus goes out and so will Atalanta, so that means no Italian sides left once again. Even French sides have been better recently, so Italy is looking like the worst out of the big 5.
