We have 1/4finals on April 3/4 and 10/11.

After the international break, we have Milan at home on March 31st, Benevento away on April 7th and Sampdoria at home on April 15th, this is pretty perfect. We have to survive until the international break and then recover as much players as we can. I just hope to God that neither of Costa, Dybala and Higuain get injured, one more attacking injury and Sturaro will be a CF a lot more often. :D

I am always overconfident when it comes to Juventus. And City have been a naive team for many years now.

But if you look at our team right now, the way we'v been playing... We're nowhere near the team we were three years ago or even last year.

I just cannot see us beat City, unless we somehow drastically improve (which, fortunately, does tend to happen with Allegri in March-April).

Would help if we actually can stop getting injured all the fucking time

Take faggenham. We can completely shut them down in various ways

except the crucial players for those plans, about 7, where all injured

Even with a full squad at our disposal we are not good enough right now. And our bench is sort of ridiculous. Allegri did incredible, but who really expected Asamoah and Lichtsteiner to make as much of a difference as they did.

When you see that we bring on Asamoah, Lichtsteiner and Sturaro and Madrid casually sub in Bale, Kroos and Isco (while leaving Modric on the bench), that says it all.

Ugh, I guess I'm just bitter.

You are disappointed we arent clicking as we normally are. But lets look at this

With De Sciglio, Bernadeschi, Mandzukic, Cuadrado injured
Dybala and Matuidi just returned last game
Higuain returned this game
Marchisio still in 'silent recovering'

Its absolutely insane our bench still has the ability to change a game.

When dybala, douglas costa and another wide player are in good form ,and we have fullbacks on both sides, Pjanic and this entire team will rise up and domminate.

look at the second half when we changed and we managed to get forward. Thats where we showed what we can do.

But we need overlapping flanks from the start. Dybala to be far more advanced then he was half the time. Khedira to be murdered in cold blood. and pjanic to use his ability to reach all that movement.

Pjanic is not a Zidane, Xavi or Pirlo. He's not gonna dictate the game regardless of movement around him. Give him movement and penetrating runs down any side, and he'll be insane.

Apart from the winner of Roma and Shakhtar we are in for some very interesing matches in all the QFs.

I have this feeling Bayern Munich and Juventus meet again :D Personally I would like to get Manchester United, we had some interesting encounters with them trough times. Where the hell are Arsenal when you need them? :depressed

We are at the QF and our chances for qualifying to the Semis are these IMO:
Shakhtar 80% (although I expect them to go through Roma)
Roma 75% (I dont expect them to qualify anyway..)
Sevilla 75% (Tough game vs Utd but Utd are the favorites to go through Sevilla)
Liverpool 70% (good in attack terrible in defense)
Man Utd 60% (Yet to qualify but they are favorites vs Sevilla)
Man City 45% (one of the best in attack but we can counter them)
Bayern 40% (more solid all around team than City but not as good in attack - This will be very tough)
Real Madrid 35% (2 times back to back while we arent as good as we were.. very tough to go past them)
Barcelona 30% (We already conceded 3 against them and only got a draw at home - Barcelona must be considered as favorites right now)

You can call me pessimistic but the truth is we arent that good this season (at least this is the situation right now..)

IMO all teams with no exception are not extraordinary and our last season team would be at least equal against them all but our defense has been weakened while our mid remained the same which isnt really good only attack is better

Am I the only one who thinks Barca this season isn't all that? They have a way better defence, but their offense is more containable than it was last year and they play in a sluggish way

I'd prefer them over Madrid if it comes down to the two of them especially considering Madrid's sheer winning mentality

Historically we do great against Real over two legs though.

I have the impression they might now have the upper hand psychologically after Cardiff and this Real Madrid seems more impressive than the one of three years ago

Hopefully I'd be wrong

Even if they're doing poorly in La Liga, I think it's fairly obvious they'd be strong favorites against us. They look unbeatable in the CL. Especially now that Ronaldo had his annual February rejuvenating dose.

I also dont know how to rate Bayerns chances. I will just be glad for anything good they deliver this year in the CL :D

On paper Bayern are the best club after the Spanish duo but Bayern are more solid than those two so Bayern could definitely win it - Last season they met the "best in Europe" and Bayern deserved to go through (the ref screwed Bayern and there is no doubt about it) so with Real not as good as last year I could definitely see Bayern able to fend them off should they meet
To be honest I dont think there is one team right now that is levels above the rest
In 2015 We deservedly got to the final and lost to a team that was a level above us even though we gave them a tough time until the end
In 2017 we met Real who played a great final - To say Real was a level above the rest is hard but Real Bayern and Juve were definitely the best last season..
Now in 2018 You can see Barcelona as favorites but they arent half as good as they were in 2015..
The thing is even if not likely almost all teams can win it this year (except Shakhtar Roma and Sevilla)
Pool arent favorites but they could surprise
Man Utd with their anti football could surprise
We can do it even if not likely

When we see the draw we will know better - P.S when is the draw?

In that Madrid game at home we also had some luck, the penalty to us wasnt a penalty. But when you get such oppertunities you need to take them even if it was a wrong call. Going 2-0 up before half time would have changed the whole outcome a lot and I think we would have gone trough in the end.

After that missed penalty the tie and momentum totally switched in Madrids favour and the Bayern players lost their cool.

What im most pissed about was the injury for Lewandowski and Hummels just up to the first tie, Neuer was injured as well but it was decided to play him. And in the second leg both Hummels and Lewandowski played with small injuries, Neuer broke his foot lol and the whole shit just collapsed. Still I think we gave Real Madrid a run for their money. In the end it was deserved they went trough though.
