I'm talking about a consistent pattern in getting questionable calls (i.e., having refs on their side)

I hate psg, always have, but how can't you agree that their mistakes and the ref's are independent? Only because there's a lot they can blame themselves for doesn't mean that Barca didn't qualify on the basis of a nonexistent penalty. The ref was just waiting for the tiniest contacts in the penalty area to give it to Barca.

Actually this video exhonerates the ref more, suarez was clearly ahead to get to the ball once he felt the arm of the defender he had to go down because he didn't know at that instant the extent of the obstruction so he played it safe and fell upon contact. I am a 100% sure suarez doesn't fall down and probably scores a gol if defender doesn't touch him.

OK, I'll answer this question very seriously. The outcome is Barca go through 100%. What was the probability of Barca going through from that situtaion but instead of a penalty, Suarez gets a second yellow. Let's be generous and say 5%. Therefore, percentage wise it's 95%.

But to make the calculations fair we have to ask what was the probability of Barca going through AFTER the penalty was given. Considering the psychological condition of the PSG players, I'd say at least 50%. So the fair number is probably around 45%.

That's just ridiculous. The funny thing is that you hate barca and I don't. I actually dislike PSG because of the Qatar money, but fair's fair, they did just enough to qualify in the second game and I think overall they were better than Barca.

At the beginning of the game barca needed 5 gols to qualify, but since they were going to play all out attack they were bound to let one slip in as we saw, but i will continue to look at it just as 5 gols needed instead of the 6 scored. At 5 gols each gol is worth 20%, so say barca was gifted a penal which resulted in a gol it would be 20% times penal success rate of say 80% equaling a 16% ref interference rate.
The psychological argument is bs since barca was all over them from minute one till the very last, and psg played liked scared sheep, you think they were going to stop trying if that wasnt called?

I don't know what you are calculating with that, most likely nothing. What I was calculating was how much the referee helped Barca - meaning, by how much did he increase their chances of qualifying? My answer is 45%.

I mean even amateur players could've easily stalled their kick off to hold a 3 goals lead in 10 minutes, heck, a gk could even pretend to get head injury and force the play to be stopped to prevent barca from playing, how could psg players be so incompetent at that time???

Well that 5th goal in the 90th minute increased Barca's chances of qualifying by 800%

It's not the same as the referee impact i agree, but it was a wrong call that hugely impacted the final result (outcome).
