Neither Madrid or Bayern is unbeatable. PSG overperformed against Barcelona, they are not that good consistently.

Offcourse we have a chance to win CL. Lets not start to blame everything on money and wealth. That is a defeatist way of thinking.

The money issue is an important factor, but lets not play the victim role here:

we are a very successful and well driven club, and even though we are not among the richest we can play on other strengths like: tactic superiority, iron discipline, hunger, passion and bring that unique Grinta that no one else has.

We should accept the facts, stop crying over Vidal,Pogba and Morata and move forward with what we have.

This is what i want to see from us this season. However the story ends, I want teams to be afraid when they meet us. We should only settle for performances a true warrior would be proud of.

This sounds very nice and dandy, but very idealist too. One thing is to be a defeatist and a negative nancy like you are trying to made me look, and other thing is to be a realist. I always root for my team, i always want Juve to win, but i also know where we are and why.

What i mentioned (the sales) has happened, we just simply cant say "forget the moratas and pogbas and go on"...because it leaves precedents. Im not getting bunnies out of my hat. Things are like they are and you should accept them.

Im not blaming money and destiny upon our loses solely, but it IS factor you need to take in consideration. Grinta and tactical prowess WILL help you, but having the right players when it matters will help you too. If we sell the best players we have, it will not happen as consistently as we want. We can say that morata was tied and that pogba wanted to go, the same with Vidal... but in the end the fact remains that we lost precious players to us and well, thats it.

The fact is that as long as we dont have the pull power to keep our team compact with our main players..it will be difficult to maintain certain levels...because a numbers of reasons, the main ones being irregular lineups and mercato thinkering because of that.

yes, we for sure can play toe to toe with the biggest teams, but thats it. Theres were our limits start to surface...and theres nothing wrong with it... but i think we can always aspire to go higher, not just be happy with competing and ultimately getting kicked by barca or bayern... but to win against them.
The thing is, that for that.... you need to fight on par with them, and outscore them. And for that, you know what u need.

To gain that aura of invicibility, to make teams be afraid of us and buckle mentally, you need to instill fear on them...the fear of getting a goal against... the fear of losing. Making them respect us is NOT enought....we need to instill fear in their hearts by just seeing the Juve name in their bracket.

When we succeed at that, you will see us in the place we belong.

I did not try to make you look like negative nancy at all, and I actually think you make a fair point highlighting the importance of money.

However, there are different ways to analyze things.

First of all:

1: The Pogba sale was a good piece of business, but also a way to progress. It gave us money to secure further investments that would strengthen the team (which I believe we did) This means that our management has a clue and is not just seeing us as a farmer club, but wants to win (more positive than can be said about a lot of clubs)

2: Players leave Madrid, Bayern and Barca too. A lot of Barca supporters i know was really angry when we took Alves from them, something they never expected. Its not just us who lose valuable players.

However, I agree this is where we need to improve. Holding on to the players that we absolutely need will be crucial (Pogba does not fit into that category in my opinion)


3: I do accept the way things are, the financial world we live in being what it is:

what im saying is rather, that we should learn to use it to our advantages rather than be a victim to it. When it comes to Pjanic for example, i believe he has the potential to be a greater player than Pogba , but still he came at a cheaper price than what we sold Pogba for. The pogba sale is a good example of what i said....what i said about mercato thinkering and line up unstability.
I agree with you that we made the right thing to sale him because we got our bomber in higuain...but here is where the things i said before kick in. We like it or not, Pogba left a hole in our midfield...and it was not fixed properly. The result was that we had to improvise a new formation (thanks god) to balance this.... but since it was improvised and not planned in summer, now we have rotation problems.

The pogba sale and lack of planning on the summer is the result of this. This is why i said we need to be more stable and have more pulling power... OR plan things to face the unavoidable sales. The thing is... you cant always prepare for losing a player of the Vidal or Dybala Calibre...because certain players are unique.

The asnwer about how to go higher is obvs complicated. Is not like we can go and buy a MSN and thats it. But we are on the right track after thi 6 years and steadily getting better. Thats a good sign.

What we need to do now is to be more eager and try to find accesible players with great scouting.. players that can make a difference offensively speaking and who will complete our formation, which is already competitive. if we do that and continue winning... we willr each a point where we can simply tie our players wihtout getting bankrupt. Not the the point of real and barca.. but competitive enought with intelligent buying plus our philosophy of footbll

I dont think we can be a top contender season in and season out. Financially we are not there with top dogs and case in point we will always sell one/two of our big players. It doesnt help with the manager leaving as well so its going to be difficult to be a top contender and I think this is probably as good as we can/will be. Maybe a tad better but thats it. That doesnt mean we cant win the CL, its just I cant see us in the semi's for like 2-3 seasons consecutively.

How does it work with your argument that we will always sell one/two of our big players because financially we are not there with top dogs ? Offer for Pogba was simply too good to refuse while Vidal wanted to leave, simple as that.

Second How did you conclude that Allegri is going to leave? As far as I'm concerned he still has a contract for next season and Marotta confirmed he will be staying. I know Marotta isn't always telling the truth but you prefer to believe British papers instead? Anyway, the season Conte left we got into CL final.

Exactly. Thats also why i wouldnt write Barcelona completly off. The ref likes to handle them gift when they need it, but that said the chance is so small for them to go trough that it shouldnt be possible.

First: Financial circumstances were different there was no super rich man city, psg and chelsea. Serie A still had the pulling power and even clubs like parma and lazio had top players. Now we gotta look at napoli, Roma etc and even though we followed a similar pattern there is no guarantee these players will be world beaters. it's even more difficult than it was then, so I'm not sure what you are trying to get at.


Second: even though is a rumour, it's certainly worth considering when talking about our future. Unless of course you think Allegri will have his dynasty here. Obviously I don't know what will happen but what I am saying is that IMO it's likely to happen, whether it's this year or next. The signs are there, the Qatar incident, bonucci etc. So it wasn't just some random rumour. Also it's not only British papers, Italian papers are coming out with the same. In all honestly though It all depends on Allegri and not what marotta said. Like it did with pogba, tevez, higuain and so on.

If they do decide to do that, they should also try to get as many Barca players injured as possible in the process

submit 11 player initial lineup then field an extra player and try to play until the ref notices would be the funniest.
