Fucking Suarez trapping Izaguirre's hand under his arm then falling down for a penalty. Then Neymar acts like a real piece of shit. I really wish the ref had sent him off for timewasting as he came off. Would have wiped the smirk off those smug dicklips of his.

Additionally the sheer noise inside the stadium made me miss home. Awful night.

Least my Edi scored though :baus:

Take your pick

Arsenal/PSG
Benfica/Besiktas
City
Bayern
Leverkusen
BVB/Madrid
Porto

Easier: Besiktas/Porto
Making it more challenging: BVB
Man City.

Napoli had better not fuck all of this up. I want to see two Italian teams in the quarters. Then they can lose to Leicester all they want :baus:

Aside from Barca, the only sort of teams that worry me are those who are particularly good at set pieces. Our set piece defending is appallingly bad. Both goals in CL this year came off set piece plays, the first goal against Inter too.

Our defense allows incredibly few chances against during open play. Alongside Atletico, easily the best in Europe in that regard. But our set-piece defending is so damn poor this year.

It was terrible last year too. Set-pieces and crosses. It also doesn't help that Buffon isn't a particularly aggressive keeper in terms of going up and claiming the ball.

I don't think it was all that bad in our CL final year though...
We were much better in possession that year and much better at slowing down the play when necessary. It was just too difficult to either disposes our mids or get past them. 4312 worked very well and if we couldn't control it, 352 was a guarantee of defending lead.

Now we're starting from scratch basically and all those things are definitely missing at the moment.

Theres really no team this year that seems to be above the rest but regardless, anyone we draw will play 2 games like never before and destroy us.

Probable ending to the group stage:
A. PSG got a 99% win in their next game while Arsenal probably will too but not so sure about it - in case both end with same points will it be decided in their head to head (away goals) or goal difference entire 6 games? If its the 1st PSG will surely top the group!
B. Napoli got a tough away game vs Benfica - They will surely wont win this but will they lose? I bet they will lose this one.. Besiktas will at least earn a draw vs Dynamo as they really need this so IMO the group will end with Benfica as 1st and Besiktas as 2nd
C. Already decided
D. Already decided
E. Already decided
F. Real entertain Dortmund at home so this one will probably go to Real even if Dortmund are definitely a tough nut to crack and have proved that year after year vs Real
G. Porto to beat Leicester to qualify from 2nd place
H. Home game vs Zagreb I wont believe my eyes if I see anything less than a win... Sevilla playing vs Lyon - Very tough game for Sevilla but they will survive this one to enter the knockouts (which will probably be a mistake given their cant lose at Europa league state...)
1st PSG , Benfica , Barca , Atl Madrid , Monaco , Real , Leicester , Juventus
2nd Arsenal , Besiktas , City , Bayern , Leverkusen , Dortmund , Porto , Sevilla

Some here are just my guessing while some are very probable (and done) but if we take this we can end up 1st but get Bayern which will be a disaster IMO
On the other hand I rather see us getting all the other 2nd ranked teams (although Im not sure if I prefer Dortmund to Real)
PSG would be difficult even if they do not have Zlatan anymore , Barca we do not want to meet them... Atl Madrid are tough but as tough as they are I prefer them to Bayern! Monaco proved to be quite good even if not as big as the other 1st placed teams Leverkusen proved to be mediocre.. Real I always thought they are more lucky than actually good since Zidane took the hot seat.. Honestly I rather meet them than Dortmund!
Leicester Porto who cares we should run over both
We cannot meet Sevilla for obvious reasons...

I mentioned the possible scenarios in this group and most folks thought that a big team like Real will always go for the 1st place in the group.

Once again, I think that the people in Madrid will think twice about this.

If Real win their group, their potential opponents will be Bayern, City, Arsenal, Porto, Leverkusen and Benfica/Napoli/Besiktas.
If they end up second they will get Juve, PSG, Leicester, Monaco or Benfica/Napoli/Besiktas.

I believe that if they can choose, they'd rather avoid Bayern and City, even Arsenal.

For Dortmund, on the other hand, it's much better to win the group, because they won't get the two strongest teams in the 2nd pot - Bayern and Real.

Dortmund will be motivated to win the group and avoid Barca, Atletico and Juve, while Real will probably prefer to avoid Bayern and City.

Assuming this. I can't see how some are whining about first place... Avoy all spanish Team it would be quite good. We just need a little bit of luck and no get BM. We should be able to beat any of the other teams without any doubt if we are fit

Hopefully Napoli get a draw against besiktas
Napoli need a point away to Benfica. You know that is not going to happen. I am 100% sure they will lose that match. Only chance for them to progress is if Kyiv beats Besiktas at home. If Besiktas gets a point, then Napoli is out.

If you can't beat Kyiv at home then you deserve to be eliminated.

I am pretty sure Napoli will be eliminated. Based on the tables right now, it would look like all 4 Spanish teams go through (nothing new here), 3 English, 3 German, 2 Portugese, 2 French, and then 1 Italian (JUVE), and 1 Turkish team (Besiktas). Pretty sad.

Worse thing is that if we top the group we could still easily get Dortmund or Bayern Munich. If we came 2nd we could get lucky and get Benfica, Monaco or Leicester. Bayern would be the worst. Imagine the irony.

If we want to win the CL, we can't worry too much about our oppo. We came pretty fucking close against Bayern last year, no reason why we cant pull it off this time if we face them.

Napoli are a disgrace. 2 points in 3 games against Turkish and Ukrainian teams is a joke.
