Post Ironic who do you think are tough teams in Europe? Have we played any of them apart from Barcelona this season?
Barcelona, Bayern, Real Madrid, Atletico, Juventus.

Those 5 teams are a clear cut above the rest over the last couple years. As shown in both Europe and in Domestic League. Not one of these teams has been knocked out by any team not in that list in the last 3 seasons.

I'm not even saying Monaco isn't a tough team. Or PSG. Or City. Or Sevilla, Porto, Dortmund, etc. They just aren't top teams, and being eliminated by any of them would be a big failure on the part of any of the 5 teams I listed.

2014-15 - Real knocks out Atletico QF/Barca knocks out Bayern SF/Juve knocks out Real SF/Barca beats Juve Final
2015-16 -Bayern knocks out Juve Rof16/Atletico knocks out Barca QF/Atletico knocks out Bayern SF/Real beats Atletico Final
2016-17 - Juve knocks out Barca QF/Real knocks out Bayern QF/ TBD :D

Add 2013-14 in there if you want. Juventus went out in group stage. But: Atletico knocks out Barca QF/ Real knocks out Bayern SF/Real beats Atletico final

Anyway you slice out, those 4 and Juve have been the dominant European teams of the last 3-4 years.

Monaco are a young and exciting team that play free flowing football. We'd do well not to underestimate them; the Allegri factor, coupled with the hunger and belief that players have shown thus far gives me great confidence.

The absence of Khedira in the 1st leg is a loss, but not one which we can't mitigate. I'd play Marchisio, if fit, but if he isn't ready I'd go with Asamoah in the middle. Lemina is too raw, Sturaro is nowhere near good enough to be deployed in a two man midfield, and Rincon has done nothing noteworthy to earn a starting berth.

Let's hope we stay fresh and injury free for both legs, and bring back home a positive result from France. I'd like to think we're going to keep a clean sheet, but I have a feeling Monaco will score. It might end 1-1 or 1-2 in our favor in France.

Raymond "perennial loser" DumbNoDeck and that insignificant Nice coach are real pieces of shit. As if we should give two shits about what mediocre irrelevant shitcunt coaches have to say.

I was thinking of a top 11 comprised of the remaining semi finalists. Even better, top 11 comprised of Juve and Real players :D

Give me both lists people. Go! I'll think of mine and post it later :p

Kroos? I'd rather Modric
In that case it would be Kroos and Modric. I see Pjanic as more of a Modric replacement but more physical. Him and Kroos would be such a good match.

Also Bale is shit. I'd rather have Griezmann.
I disagree that Bale is shit. I'd take him over Griezmann as there is Dybala in there and someone with pace would be the best winger on that side.

Mandzukic over Griezmann :baus:

Also Carvajal.

And Modric of course, but that's been pointed out already.
idk about Carvajal.

Just to clarify tho, I went with only Real and Juve. There's certainly favorites as one can say Griezmann is better than Dybala at this point for example.
