Juventus have won four, drawn seven and lost just one of their league fixtures contested in Cesena. The solitary defeat against the Seahorses, which occurred in 1976, was particularly significant as it paved the way for Torino’s comeback to overtake Parola’s Bianconeri side.
The opening Juventus success came in the first ever championship meeting between the teams after both had previously faced each other in the Coppa Italia. On 7 April 1974, the Bianconeri ran out 2-0 winners courtesy of goals from Anastasi and Altafini either side of half-time.
The following season saw a late strike from Causio hand the Bianconeri all three points.
Another last-gasp goal proved enough to seal victory in 1976/77. This time it was Boninsegna who silenced the home crowd with a late winner.
Juve’s last victory arrived thanks to Rui Barros’ double, with the Portuguese player’s exploits proving enough to stave off Agostini’s late consolation.
