I think the Russians have every right to protect their interest just like every other superpower. United States are saying Russia cannot attack a independent country in the 21st century that is unexceptable, but what did NATO do then when they attacked Serbia who just like Georgia was defending its territory? Us is attacking countrys all over the world and nobody can do anything. Now when Russia defended its interest in a neighboring country Georgia thinks US and the west will start defending them sending troops to Georgia fighting Russia??? that cannot happen in a million years, if that happens the world can say good bye to it self. These country's will not fight with tanks, plans and guns but nuclear weapons!!!!! and not the ones thrown on Hiroshima and Nagasaki but more advanced (FAR MORE ADVANCED). If Georgians think US will go in a nuclear war with Russia over south ossethia!!! then sorry but something is not right with Georgians.

And just for the info, countrys that do have nuclear weapons are; UNITED STATES ,RUSSIA ,UKRAINE ,CHINA ,ENGLAND ,FRANCE ,PAKISTAN ,INDIA.

Peace!!

No way Israel and north korea have nukes. North Korea has a plant for producing nuclear energy but no way they have that kind of weapons. Eastern Ukraine has nuclear plants "chernobyl" as an example. They have nukes no question about it.

cheers

There are currently five nations considered to be "nuclear weapons nations", an internationally recognized status conferred by the Non-Proliferation Treaty. In order of acquisition of nuclear weapons these are: the United States of America, the Soviet Union/Russia, the United Kingdom, France, and China. Since the nuclear tests conducted by India and Pakistan in May 1998 both nations have publicly declared themselves to in possession of a nuclear arsenal, but this status is not formally recognized by international bodies. In addition Israel has deployed a nuclear arsenal but has not acknowledged it. The three smaller Soviet successor states that inherited nuclear arsenals (Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Belarus) have now relinquished all nuclear warheads which have been removed to Russia.

BTW the youtube clip is a lot of fun.......

germany doesnt have a nuclear military program
Well they are fore runners in the world of nuclear power generation. Fact is if you are capable of generating massive power from nuclear energy, the technology is there to make it go boom. Iran for example, doesn't claim to want to produce nuclear arms, merely nuclear power. So why is the UN and US so against Iran even being able to produce energy from nuclear power? That is because if a country has the technology to produce power at a high level then it is also capable of producing bombs. Ie, nuclear power = nuclear program.

i politely suggest for you to look into it, as it's completely different it takes 20-30 years to get that bomb to blow.

North Korea is now disarmed of her nuclear weapons and here plants are under US supervision. Everybody can take a look by clicking here:

Nuclear power and nuclear weapon are to diffrent things. If a country has a nuclear power plant that does not mean it has a nuclear weapon. Maybe it has potential but that is a diffrent issue which I am not qualified to comment since I know nothing of producing nuclear bombs. The one thing I do know is that a lot of countrys around the world have nuclear power plants but are far from having nuclear weapons. As an example I would take the nuclear power plant located in Bulgaria ( KOZLODUJ) which has beed closed in return for the country to join the EU.

North Korea really stopped it's nuclear weapon program it was on he new's which I strongly support. BBC for me is a reliable source for information but I must agree with NICK17 they sometimes but only sometimes do present information which is unreliable and needs to be rechecked.
