What does that mean, Eddy? Are you saying that Russia is NOT concerned with the crude flow to the West?

Like I said before, pretty much every war is due to economic concerns. There are other underpinnings in some cases but some of those are facades.
Yeah, I get what youre saying Andy. I was just ractifying that the only Armenian rebels youre gona hear of is the Karabagh ones, and not the "Insurgents", plus I don't even think there considered as rebels anymore anyway.

Oh okay bro, I see. I am in no way familiar with Armenian militias or groups, so I was just speculating with that.

Energy traders on CNBC were not concerned with the BTC Pipeline being bombed (at this point), but they didn't rule it out. They're more concerned with the way the market has reacted to this war, saying that the Bears own the market now, which is true.

With the rapid escalation and advancement of this Caucasus conflict, should I be worried about an invasion of Caucasians now?

Oh my god!!! I just noticed. They're f*#$% everywhere here. I'm surrounded! :scared:

Another thing to worry about besides the security of the BTC Pipeline is whether or not Russia really is planning more than just this raid of Georgia. If they are, then one would have to wonder if they have the energy agenda and balls to invade Kazakhstan... a land with over a billion barrels of crude reserves. If they would happen to control those reserves, the rest of Europe is going to have a major problem on their hands.

Two years ago Russia decided to halt crude and natural gas transportation to Europe, which caused a pretty big spike in prices. The more control they have over some of the last reserves in the world, the more they can fuck with and control the rest of the world. Too many problems will be caused in that case, especially for the rest of Europe. So while many in Europe sit idle during this conflict, perhaps it will come back to haunt them.

MOSCOW - Russian President Dmitri Medvedev ordered a halt to military action in Georgia Tuesday, saying it had punished Georgia and brought security for civilians and Russian peacekeepers in the breakaway South Ossetia region.

"The security of our peacekeepers and civilians has been restored," Medvedev said in a nationally televised statement. "The aggressor has been punished and suffered very significant losses. Its military has been disorganized."

At the same time, Medvedev ordered the military to quell any signs of Georgian resistance.

"If there are any emerging hotbeds of resistance or any aggressive actions, you should take steps to destroy them," he told his defense minister at a Kremlin meeting.

Russia's foreign minister, meanwhile, said that Georgia's president must leave office and Georgian troops should stay out of the pro-Russian South Ossetia region for good.

Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Moscow won't talk to President Mikhail Saakashvili and Saakashvili "better go
