All i knew about him was the fact that he converted to Islam.I had never really heard any of his songs,but i've been listening to some of the stuff he recorded back in the day..and he was pretty good.This took me by surprise TBH.I thought his conversion to Islam was the only thing that hyped him up and he was a very average musician.But that doesnt seem to the case.He seems to be a fairly talented musican.

I've heard Wild World,The First Cut Is The Deepest,Father and Son and How Can I Tell You...all good songs.Wild World stood out for me.Excellent song.

Anyone here who's a fan of Stevens?And any recommendations on good albums and good songs by him that i should listen to?

he was an extremely;y talented singer/songwriter but his conversion to islam has made him a very public target which is a damn shame as folk seem to have lost sight of teh fact he was a superb folk singer
