how does the CL coefficient work anyway?what happens if another italian team win the CL again this season, will the 4th spot of 2012-13 season still go to Germany?

dude have you seen this...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_coefficient

damage has been done, the germans are already ahead by an average of 6 coefficient points.

it's over, maybe now some of the arrogance and ignorence well die out within italy. The maye, "maybe", the italian teams / FA decides to update itself to modern day football

To those who are happy -- how did we do in Serie A after we crashed out of the Champions League last year, eh?

Not so good, yea?

So there goes that theory.
that's a retarded comparison, we had two clowns to manage this team, not to forget the other clowns who were controlling the transfers too, last season we had the worst season for years, you don't make any sense..

As I was predicting, Lech achieved good result. Im a bit disappointed that we didn't win today, but the weather conditions were poor to Lech, that prefers quick passes and long sprints than playing technically like Juve, so your team played nice in the 2nd half because the key to this match was to pass the ball well to the other player. Del Piero should have play the free kicks better, Rudnevs was brilliant as always so it's ok :)
Congratulations my friend, you deserved to go through and we wish you all the best for the rest of the competition. Your boys played their hearts out in both legs and fully deserve it

is it possible for Serie A to only get 3 participants for CL next season?or will it be the season after that?
Not for this season (so next seasons CL) thanks to Inter winning last year, if they had lost to Bayers we would have only had 3 participants this year. But for the season after we are at risk.

Italy has more or less lost the 4th spot, but it doesn't come into effect until 12-13 season, so this season we can afford to finish in the top 4, next season we will be better and will finish in the top 2 :D
Nice defeatist attitude!!!

Well a lot of issues were part of last years tragedy, so don't look for patterns of last year and compare them to this year.
So you know for a fact that we'll improve because of not playing in the EL? Horse shit.

Something like this has a tendency to knock off morale. Hopefully it won't happen but it can.

Wait so if in the 2012-13 season all Italian teams qualify and do well, Germans don't, will we regain it?

Uefa average there leagues for every 5 years, look at the link I just gave you, the germans have beaten the italians every season since it last counted. Thus It'll take another 5 years for serie a to get there spot back.

DN isn't some sort of special manager, Snoop. Much like Iaquinta isn't a special player.

Any sort of hit to morale could turn the team upside down again. It makes perfect sense to point that out.

There is no bright side to be knocked out of this competition.

Game was a farce. I can't believe some people are actually trying to pick over the play of individual players.

Still, conceding a goal from a corner is never good.

Very poor to go out this early, but the damage was done before this game.

Back on earth.
Only 6 wins on 19 serie A and EL matches. Are we really having a good season?
Eliminated by Lech Poznan one round before the end of the group stages, failing to win a single of the 4 matches against teams we didn't even know before.

Krasic is the only one who gets a pass from tonight's match.
6 wins all season is really abysmal.

Way too many draws this season - we just don't have the ability to put the knife through a team when we are completely dominating and they're sitting back defending.

Don't blame the pitch, Fifa, their keeper or the ref. We just didn't put away easy chances all game.

How many Italians left in CL and EL and how many Germans?
look dude, this is how it stands

its now math matically impossible for the italians to catch up, unless the german teams lose every single game from now onwards

Germany 62.936
Italy 56.409
