Tevez would be an amazing signing. Anyone who thinks otherwise is deluding themselves, or living in some form of alternate reality.
 We can't get back the 12m

He would be if he comes motivated. If he doesn't it'll be a disaster.
LOL. Tevez has never given less than 110% on the pitch. Plus, he wouldn't even come here if he wasn't motivated. He would just go to the highest bidder.

6.5 Million Euros + Bonuses and :donedeal:

There is no point stalling until other dirty teams come sniffing around. This hesitation and reluctance to go in for the kill when it comes to quality is something that bothers me when it comes to Marotta. He has no hesitation in closing certain deals, but when it comes to top quality attackers, he seems to be allergic to them or something.

With his injury record, I don't believe they can expect more than that. He struggled in the second part of last season for goals.
It would be reasonable to expect a player of his quality to modify his game, but at 31/32 he's still in his prime.

When signing Tévez you're obviously not thinking about his resale value, but how many years of motivated football there is left.

If he's not willing to take a pay cut he's not focused on his career and that makes him a bad footballer too.. 5m or 8m a year - it's not like he's a bad paid footballer all of a sudden - im sure we can make him a deal where he can activate great bonuses as well..

It's more difficult for Italian clubs to pay such wages, though, because such income gets taxed 50 % in Italy. A 7 million per year wage at Juventus would be a 14 million per year expense for the club. 4 years of that would constitute (14 x 4) = 56 million euros in wages alone. The difference between 5 million euros per season (10 million expense for the club) and 7 (14) is therefore huge. 5 million euros per season would cost the club (10 x 4) = 40 million euros.

Still a very large sum, but substantially less than if we were to put him on 7 million euros (which just won't happen).

These players sign contracts that offer net salaries, so this is the math right here.

Or incompetent. One or the other.

However, I do agree with Suns in that: if you're after a top player, be prepared to pay the price. But I don't believe we can offer more than 5 million per season, 6 at the very most but even that's highly doubtful.

PL is in a league of it's own, though. Deloitte published numbers that showed 2.9 billion pound revenues, compared to Serie-A's 1.8 billion. As for Germany, they are in a healthier financial state than Italy. But to be honest, no other club in Germany can roll like this yet either, only Bayern. Spain is Spain, the financial situation of RM and Barcelona is well documented.
