As much as I think that Tevez is the best we can hope for to partner Llorrente, I can't see the transfer happening just for the mere fact that the amount of cut he has to make on his wages will open doors of several other clubs to snatch him under Marotta's the nose.

Apperently marotta is Great at getting players to agree deals, its mostly the clubs that are the problem... Anyway negotiations has prob. Been going on for months so not just for other teams to come forward in the last minute. We are a very attractiv club for a good forward as the competition is 0.

That quality that Marotta has is apparent.

Juventus and Tevez have an agreement in principle. 5M a season + bonuses. There is no agreement with City and Juve yet, but City want 10-12M cash. Negotiations are advanced.

Marotta can never just agree on a price  If he comes to a deal valuing a player and expecting to pay 20m and they instead ask for 15m, he'd mess up the deal by asking for 10m.

12m for Tevez is fair and 5m is not bad. If we can't pay guys like Tevez 5m a year then we have no business in pursuing them.
