I don't think we can land both, Zac.

Think City would want something between €12-16 mill. Let's say Tevez would earn €5 mill.

Real will know we have money, will at least ask for €26-28 mill for Higuain.. The player gets €4.5-5 mill?

Don't forget we have Llorente on €4.5 mill already.

We will also add squad players like Diamanti, Zuniga etc...

I'm convinced we could land both

Thats nice
One is enough, don't you think? We already have Llorente and we have decent backups in any combination of our current attackers. If the money for landing both Higuain and Tevez is availabe, it can be used to improve the team's other areas.

Thats why i wonder, at what cost? What risk are we willing to take ?

If we go for 25mil Higuain, on 4.5 mil wages

Take risk and assume we'll be selling forwards

Then go for 6mil wages tevez, and a reasonable fee

Then hope we can sell 3 of our current forwards.

I am all for balance, you know that. But Higuan+Tevez, has SO MUCH merchandising in them, that we can dig deeper for them.
We are not getting both. That's never going to happen, and frankly I wouldn't be surprised if we got none. I would be more than happy with either.

Tevez would fit better in the 3-5-2 system since we already have Llorente. Higuain is younger and has the right mentality. Tevez needs more in salary, but the transfer fee for Higuain is probably going to even out the difference. It's actually a pretty tough call to make. Normally I'd take Higuain without hesitating, but I'm inclined to pick Tevez because it fits our formation better and also gives us the option to play 4-3-3. That's even taking Tevez' behavior into consideration.

Good thinking, but you need to add the merchandising aspect.

we have been talking about jovetic, diamanti, zuniga. Their merchandising is decent, jojo above decent.

However, Higuain ? TEVEZ ? massive merchandising right there, especially tevez.

Higuain : 25mil 4.5/season
Llorente : 0mil 4.5mil/season
Tevez : 12mil 6mil/season

all 3 on "bonusses based on final CL position"

37mil transfer costs, 15mil wages.

However, this means we should be selling 3 attackers. fee isnt that important, but getting their wages of the book is.
I think we were cutting like ~9mil when getting rid of iaquinta, matri, quag, ziegler ?

so net spend, and fuck the income from those sales

37mil, 6mil increased wages. MASSIVE increased merchandising.

I highly doubt we are signing this guy, but if we do...oh man :tuttosport:

Amazing player and would be a perfect SS for us in the 3-5-2. Good finisher, creative, insane work rate, strong, fantastic technique...it's so not happening :D

I'd be amazed if we sign either one of Tevez or Pipita. I will not complain about either. We just need to do everything we can to sign someone of their quality, our attack really is beyond pathetic.

Why would you place your by far most clinical player, not on the most effective position ?

besides he prefers the center
Because Higuain isn't horrible at the wing, in fact, he's excellent. Just great workrate, crossing and can easily take on defenders. It's not only on paper, I've seen him play there several times.

Because we need to make use of all our strong resources, in this case Llorente AND Higuain is better than using only one considering our current squad.

Damn it! Can't believe I got fooled this badly. :/ From now on I will try only to listen to credible guys like Turk and B81.
Linebreak is fine. Stay away from B81.
