Aaaaaaaaaaand your point is?
I think what he's trying to tell us is that Higuain is the greatest player money can buy. :D

I saw you post in the wishlist thread that you can see Tévez and Jojo joining Juve "for sure". We could go all summer calling each other cynical and idealistic I believe, should be a fun time. :D

Beppe said they could reach an agreement with the player, and that's without talking to the club. You're too assertive.:
But that's the thing Salv. It looks that obvious to me that we are getting a big player and a 15-18m in addition that. I don't mean to be idealistic. Just my analysis from the Conte meetings to the Beppe and Agnelli interviews, it looks like we will do in this mercato what we didn't do in the previous two under Marrotta. Sign a top forward. I genuinely believe we can get Tevez and Jojo.

I know I'm an optimistic guy with these things, but it's not absolutely impossible to picture what I'm saying here. I'm sure you'll agree.

Di Marzio says that Tevez and Juventus have been in contact for a while, and he would accept €5-6 mill + bonus per season.

Via Melo on Twitter.
If we've been on this deal for a while, then it does beg the question, why are we planning all these trips to Madrid!? Could be a strategy to lower Higuain's price too. Although if Tevez is willing to take a Higuain level salary with such a pay cut, then his deal is a no brainer coz he's going to cost between 7-10m less than Higuain in transfer fees.

Tevez accepting 5-6 mil just shows how no one wants to take the rist...
It also shows a player willing to prove himself. Having motivations other than money.

I don't think we can land both, Zac.

Think City would want something between €12-16 mill. Let's say Tevez would earn €5 mill.

Real will know we have money, will at least ask for €26-28 mill for Higuain.. The player gets €4.5-5 mill?

Don't forget we have Llorente on €4.5 mill already.

We will also add squad players like Diamanti, Zuniga etc...

Could this mercato end up looking like this? Tevez, Jojo/Nani, Diamanti, Zuniga, Bonera? The net spend there would be about 40m. There is also talk of Matri being wanted in exchange for Lulic. Straight swap. That would save us about 4m on Zuniga which you could add in cash to a potential Jojo/Nani deal. Just saying, not out of the realm of possibility. Tevez, Jojo, Llorente, Giovinco, Quag. Anyone?

I highly doubt we are signing this guy, but if we do...oh man :tuttosport:

Amazing player and would be a perfect SS for us in the 3-5-2. Good finisher, creative, insane work rate, strong, fantastic technique...it's so not happening :D

I'd be amazed if we sign either one of Tevez or Pipita. I will not complain about either. We just need to do everything we can to sign someone of their quality, our attack really is beyond pathetic.
I would love Tevez here; I'd just prefer we get Higuain and JoJo :D
Financially, it's going to be cheaper and easier to get Jojo and Tevez than Jojo and Higuain.

Rotate or maybe start over Llorente. Depends I guess.

Also swap Gio for Quag there.

After hearing Marotta's words, I seriously doubt there is even a chance that we will sign both Tevez and Higuain. Tevez and Llorente would be incredibly, anything else would be awesome but probably a little unnecessary right now. I would hope we can swap Matri & Gio for Jojo as well.
Matri could be swapped for Lulic. That seems like an option on the market, which means we may not go for Zuniga. Or we go for Zuniga and use Matri and a cash component for Jojo. Either way. Quite a few avenues if we use our resources right.

I would prefer Kolarov over Lulic tbh, better attacking option.

Matri would be great for Fiorentina, Gio too probably.

@Nicholas

Isn't Tevez partly owned by some investment group? And how likely is this Tevez deal?
Not anymore, City bought his full rights when he was transferred to City, as far as how likely the deal is, well rumours have it City wont to get rid of their higher earners however they've just given Touré a new deal. So who knows.

As far as what's reported there is no intentions to open contract negotiations at this moment in time, because for one I don't think the new administration wants him anymore and two Tevez seems to be fed up in Manchester and this was confirmed by Marotta yesterday, if Juventus and Kia can agree on wages for Tevez then I see the deal going through because City would be willing to sell for around 18 million as the money they'd save on wages would be huge.

City are keen to get rid of him, which should help a lot. Also his market value being lower than Higuain is nice too. This should be realistic if we can agree wages considering we paid €15m for Mirko.

It all comes down to wages for sure. With what's being reported(how true it is) Marotta has been speaking with his agent for months.
I can believe that, but I would bet that his agent initiated contact.

By the sounds of what Marotta said, I don't think Tevez would reject ~€6-7m/yr + bonuses. Hopefully we would offer that.

Shouldnt be paying a penny above 15m for him if u ask me.
i can see marotta usin his hardball tactics to get the price down as much as possible.
it would be amazing if he could pull off a galliani tho if u know what i mean.

For how good he is even with his age, I would say he is worth at least 25-30m in the current market. 15m is an absolute steal, even with his contract running down. I hope we wouldn't be put off by a Man City request closer to 20m.
