Sky Sports sources understand that Manchester City have not received a bid from Juventus for Carlos Tevez.
Corinthians president Andres Sanchez has claimed the Italian outfit have joined the race to sign the want-away striker by making an offer of £45million.
City have already turned down a £35m bid from Corinthians, with the Brazilian club having launched an ambitious attempt to re-sign the man they sold to West Ham in 2006.
However, it is believed Sanchez's claim is wide of the mark and that City are yet to receive an official bid from Juve for Tevez.
The 27-year-old star, who is under contract with the Blues until 2014, has made it clear he wants to leave due to family reasons as his children have remained back in Argentina.
Corinthians have indicated they will not be increasing their offer of £35m, though.
