I would say that if we really go for Tevez that will be the end for Trez. Tevez will not join Juve to be benched. He can choose a lot of other clubs that will let him play in ther first eleven. and it will change our entire game because Tevez isnt Trez. And u cant let play Tevez instead of Nedved because Nedved is a Midfielder that can cover the defense...Tevez is a full forward.

overrated player
Well not really Rab, we saw what he did in the World Cup, but all this media about him makes him look over-rated..if he didn't suceed in West Ham, then I wouldn't mind him at Juve, but that means Trez will be leaving..

I don't see the correlation between the signing of Tevez and the departure of Trezeguet. They're two completely different players and I certainly do not want to see Juvetus without a prototypical goalpoacher. So if everything is based on monetary concerns we better be a little careful with our money here.

ya I agree tevez is completely diff. from trez...he is more comfortable on the ball and dribbles more...but trez's finishing is head and shoulders above tevez

Agreed.

Why waste time and money on another player of the Mutu/Miccoli variety who will only be bought to be Dp's benchwarmer?

Maybe when Dp retires should we consider another deep-lying forward, but until then strikers who score by the bucketfull are more interesting to me.

I love Del Piero as much as anyone here since I have followed him from his earlier career but I am not sure whether Alex still has the leg to last entire season injury free and feel fresh without certain rest during the season.

Now I don't want Tevez because (1) he seems rather overrated and (2) as #10 mentioned he is rather expensive for a back up - I wouldnt mind some 17 or 18 year old Brazilian wiz kid being picked up for a sums of couple of million. That is planning for the future IMO.

Everybody's overrated when you come to think of it, Rab.

yes, depends on the environnement he is playing and his mentality !
the main example is ibra , look what he've done in the first year and he've not achieved in the second ! suddenly, he became an overrated player in juventus
