Don't think Tevez is capable of playing on the wing, he was dreadfull when tried there with Argentina in Copa. He's not a good dribler nor a good crosser and he's not someone that's super creative like Vucinic so i don't think he'll be good on the wings.
By that time the rift between him and City probably already begun so no wonder he wasn't really good in the competition. But people should always remember that he's the main reason City got to the top behind United and Chelsea last season.

The problem is that we'll never know if Tevez can regain his form for a while. This is a though gamble and Marotta should proceed with caution.

This player is despised all over the world, and he also wears the label 'City reject'.

His qualities are undisputed, but he reeks of Milano, this dude. I'd rather we pass on this fucker.

Circus Milano: "Come inside folks! Step right up! Welcome to the show we call the three ugliest, most unsympathetic strikers in the world! Starring Carlos 'I play when I want to' Tevez! Co-starring Zlatan 'I kick you for no reason, bitch' Ibrahimoviiiiic! Aaaaaaand finally, Antonioooooooooo 'I suck on my thumb and scream like an infantile little shit when the world goes against me' Cassanooo!! Only 100 euro"

That was Yaya Toure.

The system is going well, why change it? I'm not having the balls to even say/suggest Del Piero starting but of course to play him more than 10-15min at least. So why bring Tevez and change the system?

I hate January transfers. If you want to sign him either do it in the summer with the plans you have in mind or don't.

Lets show some trust in Quag and who can fit in our system even more than Tevez.

It was Tevez, everyone knows that.

Tevez would fit very well, he can be our 'marquee player' to suit his ego and most of all he runs his fucking ass off and his intensity suits Conte's system perfectly.

I'd be very happy next season if we have Tevez, Matri, Vucinic and Quag as fowards.

Where exactly would Tevez fit in this system

Buffon

Lich - Barza - Bonucci - Chiellini

Pirlo

Pepe - Vidal - Marchisio - Vucini

Matri

If your answer is Pepe or Vuci, lets ask ourselves if Tevez can defend tactically like them.

I think our interest is real. We were trying to get a big name star for the attack for the last two years and with all respect to Vucinic he falls a little short. And we'll need a Del Piero replacement in the summer, if nothing else Tevez has the quality to be that replacement.

About Tevez, he is a gamble but he is the kind of player that can really help us in the fight for the scudetto and will raise our profile across Europe. I say get him, but on a short 3 year contract. I think with him we'd return to be one of the big players in Europe again and when we are there it becomes easier to buy quality players. He is also a better player than Aguero and Dzeko so it would be kind of perfect to get him and for a reasonable price (The wages of all would be high, his price will be lower). In the best case scenario he'll even like Turin and we get a player for him for 5 years as he is still young.

In short: He is a gamble we can't afford to miss.

We play the 4-3-3 more now, not the 4-1-4-1. Yes, there is a difference. Matri is much less isolated with Vucinic closer in.

And since when are Pepe or Vucinic good defenders? Vucinic - he just does what he's told, he's no special defender or anything more than any other foward. Pepe runs his ass off and has decent tactical awareness. There's no reason why Tevez would be worse than either of them.

A loan + OPTION to buy would be perfect. If he performs well and doesn't complain then sign him on for 3 years.

:agree: Tevez is no doubt one of the best players around. Probably top 5-10 I'd say.

Both Aguero and Dzeko are on a pace to score 30 league goals with Both scoring 10 goals each IIRC till now, does that tell that they've better performing better than Silva,

Same thing with Yaya and Tevez last year.
Whatever, think what you want to think.

Tactically? I don't think Pepe, and especially Vucinic, are doing 'tactically' special in defending. Comparison with Pepe is arguable but I don't think Tevez would come to replace a traditional winger. If you ask me, Tevez is the ultimate defending forward, you place Tevez on one area and almost no one can pass him. He pressures players on the pitch like a madman.

I think there's a slightly misunderstanding here. Tevez scored more goals doesn't necessarily mean that he played better than Toure last season. But when there's no Tevez, City were struggling last season, so he is the main reason City could rise up on the table. Tevez gave more end products than any other players.

No doubt, but people here want to believe otherwise so we can get inferior Jojo or Giovinco

Tevez was more important for $hitty last season that Toure.

:hi:

And he's not top 5/10 in the world, i can give you a list of 20 players who are better.

@ frick: Silva was also there last year.
Let's see...(fowards/wingers/attacking mids only). Messi, Ronaldo, Eto'o, Kaka, David Silva, Ribery, Robben, Van Persie (maybe), Iniesta, David Villa (cack recently) and Fabregas are better. Fine not top 5-10 but not 20 players better than him. Better than Rooney and Aguero 150%.
