I don't necessarily agree. I didn't follow him closely but those two seasons here are definitely among the best in his career. I mean he played in Boca, Corinthians, WHU and early City before. Only United come close but he was behind Rooney and Ronaldo there.

I see, maybe would’ve been a little bit different if he was given the trust he received later in his career and placed as a first striker position a lot earlier. Though that’s usually the case with strikers starting in their career in some cases.

Seeing what he is capable of when given the full reigns of the front position, guy was lethal.
